First of all its pretty laggy. i have a new computer. thats not the problem. its playable. the problem is theres these wierd graphics that keep showing up all over the tracks. also what completely freaked me out was that the game shut itself down and it started making this weird sound. i thought my computer was gonna blow up

Wrong thread grief, but yeah.
It sounds like your PC can't handle the game in the settings you have it on.
So lower them and maybe it will work, and maybe your PC needs tuned also.

Sounds like you are using Intel HD 3000/4000 graphics, which are not supported, or an older ATI chipset with outdated drivers. If it is ATI, please update your drivers from the ATI/AMD homepage. If it is an Intel chipset, then there isn't much anyone will be able to do.
Edit: Split the topic, Shart isn't being a troll.

Re: Weird graphics issue & game lag
Idk how gold works bcos ive never seen the settings but if it's like any other pc game out there then you can adjust multiple graphics in the options. The game running well has nothing to do with how "good" your computer is. It has to do with your graphics card. And unless that's a custom built computer, gaming computer, or you bought a new GC then yours is most likely awful. Anyway your options are turn down all your settings to low ( or as low as you can ^go to where it's still playable) or the better recommendation, buy a good graphics card. Cant really go wrong. You'll proly need it someday anyway
