Trials Frontier- Unlimited Gas Petition
Hello my Fellow Trialympians. As the topic states, this is a petition for an option to buy unlimited gas in Trials Frontier. Unlimited gas will truly make this game what it has potential to be- a real trials game. The fact that your gameplay is limited unless you spend real money or wait a while to keep on playing is heart wrenching. The thought of knowing that after a few races, I will HAVE TO wait or HAVE TO spend $$$ to continue playing hampers the experience for me. Just imagine a very attractive woman who turns you on, blind folds you, then leaves you hanging with the blues every single time- Very Sad http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...s/icon/sad.gif . I personally, would be more than happy to spend 20-30 dollars to rid this game of its limits.
So, if you agree with this post and would like an option to buy Unlimited Gas in Trials Frontier, Please reply by saying "Frontier Unlimited.” Thank you!
Re: Trials Frontier- Unlimited Gas Petition
This is not how business works, unfortunately. Adding to the fact, mobile games aren't meant to be played for extended periods of time in one session anyway.
So no, I do not agree with this.

Shouldn't that be the consumer's choice? I understand that the free-to-play market is booming in the mobile sector but this is mostly because of the casual nature of the industry in itself. But what about the hardcore Trials enthusiasts who've been playing Trials since HD or even since the original flash games looking to get into frontier? Such a concept won't do and all they are asking for is a fixed price version with unlimited gas. I don't think this would affect the intended casual market if they still keep the free-to-play version in place.

REALLY? mobiles games aren’t meant to be played for extended periods? SAYS WHO? You have no idea how long I’ve looked for a mobile game to play for hours on end and get lost in it. I find it exhilarating to play a great game that fits in the palm of my hands! Also, if this game wasn’t meant to be played for hours, you wouldn’t be given an option to “pay to continue playing.” I know all about this Business model, and all I’m saying is- for a Trials game, it doesn’t feel right! So I say and will continue to say- “FRONTIER UNLIMITED”
Re: Trials Frontier- Unlimited Gas Petition
The consumer has choices. Play the game or don't. Pay for the game or don't.
F2P is the more profitable model and having a "pay once, play forever" version would seriously hurt sales. It matters not if you're "hardcore" or an "enthusiast", these games are meant to be played in bursts and it's silly to demand developers to change that.
The targeted audience is "casual". If you feel you're not happy about the game, no one is forcing you to play it. You're not "missing out on a Trials game" since we already established that you're not satisfied and therefore should not play the game.

Says the industry standards. There's a reason why you're not finding mobile games to play for hours in one sitting.
Do not mistake your personal opinion as the general consensus.

Was it silly to Demand Microsoft to change its policies on the Xbox one? It was obviously a marketing strategy to restrict the use of disc games(can’t lend, resell, give away or rent), to require internet to play and to have a regional lock. Consumers not only have a choice but they also have a say, and so it should be.
I believe it’s your opinion that mobile games are not meant to be played for long periods.
Re: Trials Frontier- Unlimited Gas Petition
What MS tried to pull off was a terrible money-grubbing scheme that was against the industry standards. It's not even remotely comparable to this. It's not even related.
You can argue that this is all just my opinion but the fact remains that this is how the industry works. That won't change no matter what you think of what I say.
Re: Trials Frontier- Unlimited Gas Petition
From my pov I can tell you that if you keep running out of gas then this game life cycle is so short.
Re: Trials Frontier- Unlimited Gas Petition
Part of my work is usability and I get very frustrated when the IT dept gives us some new features and I say "Great but not perfect" and the parts I question are defended with the usual "this is how everyone does it..." and "industry standards..." BS. In response I argue that they do not because I want to do it this/my way! Point being forget industry standards and whatnot and listen to the users who actually use it! Of course money has to be made and that has to be factored in but certainly do not just dismiss an idea like this with such a weak defence. No offence http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...icon/smile.gif
On the flipside though...
