Kids, that's why you should never pre-order anything!
While this is true, it still isn't an excuse for companies to release a faulty product. The ones given to the press were broken and the few that got it early from retailers also reported failures.Quote:

I wouldn't worry too much if last gen was anything to go by. Some faulty pieces of equipment at launch and then it was fine for the rest of the gen.
I'd expect similar things now.

Always pay the extra few bucks for a warranty and protection plan.
Anyone who has a console this close to launch will still be under warranty. It's knowing that you won't get a replacement for a few days/weeks that's a bit annoying.Quote:

Well jook it isn't like that for everyone. I bought my TV close to 3 years ago for about $3000. The extended 3 year warranty was $300. The TV stopped working about a month ago and I got it fixed for free. If not, who knows how much it would have cost to fix or buy a new tv.

I only buy warranties for really expensive electronics, not for games and misc stuff.
I think both consoles evenly suck...
