If there is any real difference, it will show in exclusives in a year or 2, not multi-plats at launch.
yes it will just like last gen . some games look better on each console respectively , but 50% more power at launch from the start throughout its life cycle is well and truly busted . so just pick what console u prefer and enjoy .Quote:

i don't get why there seem to be so many ppl who focus on the power http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...n/confused.gif no matter how powerfull the consoles are, in the end, the quality of the game decides if a game is good or not^^
and like it has been already said, it is just peronal preference.
Its not about the power. Its about which one does not come with kinect... That is all for me.

Basically just about every source out there is claiming the PS4 to be more powerful. Journalists, tech analysts, game developers, even Microsoft said that the PS4 "looks more powerful on paper".
You know as well as I do that the video you linked proves nothing either way, regardless of your inclination to systems. Game graphics, especially since the hardware isn't even released yet, do NOT equal power of the system. Besides, multi-platform releases tend to be downscaled to run on the least powerful system which, in this case, would be the Xbone.
Buy whichever console you want but just don't try and justify your purchase to the PS4 guys. We don't really care if you get the Xbone. You shouldn't really care that we don't, too.
So:
The PS4 is running BF4 at 1600x900px.
The XB1 is running at 720hd.
The PS4 is running BF4 at a higher resolution.
The PS4 has better AA (for BF4) than the XB1 version.
The XB1 has better post processing.
They look damned near identical to me, buy what you want.
There clearly is such thing, this video above pretty much Shows that. Just sayin giggles.Quote:

Funny you should mention that, because I've read over 4 different reviews that say the opposite is true, and that there is no discernible difference.Quote:

I dont care if the xbone is more powerful or less powerful than the ps4, its made by a company whose policies I can never support with my hard earned. These guys shouting about their console of preference and defending are simply justifying their purchase.Quote:

Either way the games are the most important, but also the business practices of the manufacturer/service provider should be considered. PS4 wins in just about every way as far as I am concerned.
Well, PC does, but I want a console too as always.
I have a PS4 pre ordered but I am massively disappointed to hear you can't play MP3s or stream media from your PC. It seems X1 really is the all-round better console for media services.
Possibly. I didn't consider all that nonsense. I have a PC, I have a TV, they can do all that **** with no extra service charges you see.Quote:

If you want a multi-purpose media device, there is no better than a PC (unless you want it to be portable).
Well my PC and TV are separated by quite a distance so I always used my own soundtracks while playing games like Trials. This is a big loss for me.
What about USB stick? Can you not transfer music to PS4 that way?
Maybe I should just leave this here... http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/...north-america/
Does PS4 include a music visualizer feature?
No.
Will I be able to play MP3s on PS4?
No.
Oh well, I'm sure you'll find another method that doesn't involve getting the XBone http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image.../icon/razz.gif . The priority on PS4 is games, in their own words.
Good that they have their priorities right.
Exactly. Too early to call anything yet 2 multiplats rushed to market doesn't prove anything. What's of interest to me though is that out of the gate higher res on ps4 ( whether you can see it or not ) and Ghosts is supposed to feature a bigger gsp 1080p vs 720p.Quote:

Are you really looking for another device to do that stuff? Is that really what you want out of a videogame console? Cause the OUYA can do that stuff for under a hundred bucks. Its a wierd concept, but I buy a console to play games... with a controller that uses buttons.
Some dissapointing news about the PS4 is that it doesnt allow external storage, kinda a strange omission I thought. What is xbox's stance on external HD's?
Its kinda weird. You can upgrade the PS4 HDD, but can't use external storage. But X1 you can't upgrade the HDD but can use external storage.Quote:

I never actually listen to music on my console if I'm not actually playing a game at the time.Quote:

Spec's don't matter on paper, It's how the game developers use the consoles abilities that makes the difference. Could have the best graphics cards etc in history but if they can't utilise that power then it's just wasted.
I would be perfectly happy with a ps4 but ONLY if I could use xbox control pads with it. I also prefer the exclusives Microsoft have.
Both consoles will be built to last for some years, it will be a while before we see some breathtaking advances.
Both consoles will stand out via the exclusive games which will of corse have different art styles so there will always be debate about which one produces better graphics. Again, the developers are in total control of this.....truth is, it's highly unlikely either console will be pushed to the limit in it's lifetime.

Everyone thought blu-ray was amazing on Ps4 little did they know the human eye can only see 1080p. Which is the same as the 360s.
So literally there isn't any difference other then the title Blu-ray.
Regardless, xbox is better.
Lol really...Quote:

Im a pixel ***** i suppose, in years to come the televisions should be huge but the bigger the tvs get, the more pixels were gonna need just to get the same graphics of a smaller tv. Imo 720p isnt going to be enough for the xbone to last anywhere near as long as xbox 360 has.
I don't really get this side of the argument. Xbox one supports 3D and 4k which is nearly 4 times the resolution of 1080p.Quote:

If certain games come out at 1080 for ps4 and 720 for xbox one it's more than likely due to The established developer of the franchise demanding crazy amounts of money to appear better on that platform.
Like I said before, look to the exclusives and not to multi platform cash bringers like COD that people will buy even if it turned out to be total crap.
Also, Xbox one games will support both native 4k resolution and upscaling to 4k.
Sony have said their console would support 4k output but not for playing games.
It's all irrelevant as we don't have the T.V's to handle that resolution yet.
Just buy what you want, there is no better console.
Not sure how to feel reading all of this. I've graduated to the snobby PC elitist and haven't looked back. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image.../icon/razz.gif
No longer is my gaming confined to the limits of a pre-manufactured system. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...con/snooty.gif

THese new systems are struggling to play games are 60 FPS and 1080p. That blows my mind, the Wii U freakin plays games 60 FPS and 1080p...
I plan to sit this generation out for a few years...
Microsoft & Nintendo's "next generation" is not focused on powerful hardware.Quote:

Xbox One CAN play 1080p (even 4K), it's just that it would lag on CoD Ghosts, so they turned down the resolution instead frame rates because CoD games require high frame rates to play this game proper.Quote:

I totally get you. For people with larger displays that higher resolution makes all the difference. These consoles (while better) aren't the relative leap that 360/ps3 were at the time.Quote:
