I am unable to get Heroz open on my iPhone. 15 hrs in and all I get is the red lynx screen before a crash. Now I get the 1000heroz logo before a crash. Have logged in on mrs's iPad in the meantime. Any ideas chaps?

Have you tried closing background apps and/or restarting the OS?
The problem is whatever was causing it in this thread. The game will open if you're in airplane mode, but as soon as you turn on wifi (and I presume cellular data if on a phone), it will cause the game to crash. 1000 Heroz opens on my iPhone 5, but not my iPad 3 right now. I was able to get a run in on my iPad 3 earlier for today's race (day 769), but it just crashes when I try to open it now. This isn't too much of a problem for me since I have a second iOS device, but some people might miss an entire day because of this bug.Quote:

Shady - It's not a memory issue, I can load and play Heroz offline perfectly fine. But when it tries to connect to redlynx' servers, it crashes, whether I'm booting the game up when connected to wifi, or whether I connect to wifi after I start the game...if it has to try to connect to redlynx, it kills itself. Same problem on this end as last time. You have the devs' ears, right? Please help! We can't post times...

Yup...this is happening again for me on the iPad. Last time it took several days before it came back. Did all the things you're suppose to do--shut down, close out, restart. Still cannot get to server. Can play old days in airplane mode but cannot connect to play today.

Thanks for the report. We tried to reproduce this but the game works on our devices. We didn't notice anything odd on the server side which might be causing this.
I just checked and today (Day 770) there has been over 1400 players on the leaderboard so clearly there are lots of people whose game works fine. Could you tell us what devices you are using? Also iOS version and country might be helpful. We tested the game with iPhone 4S (iPhone version), iPad 2 and iPad Mini (HD version in both) and it worked fine.
Hiya JonneHu! Thanks for responding - I'm on an iPad 3, running ios 6.1.3 in the U.S., and I'm still unable to connect/play when I try to run Heroz HD. As I said in another thread, I can run the iphone version of Heroz on my iPad perfectly fine, so I can still post times, but it is definitely non-ideal.
Here's what is happening for me: When I open Heroz HD there is an unusually long delay at the ubisoft/redlynx screen, and an abrupt crash. If I disconnect from wifi, I can start the game and play past tracks, but as soon as I connect to wifi and attempt to access anything from the server (the daily track, or any leaderboard) I get the same immediate crash. In other words, the game acts in exactly the same way as it did the last time (day 745 or so) things fell apart, at least on my end.
I've talked to a few others, and most report that all is well, although one mentioned that he was getting an occasional crash, but that it would work when restarted. (This is just what happened to me the day -before- the game became unplayable for me. I got the same loading screen crash, but when I restarted, everything was fine.)
I haven't done anything new (I have by now developed a fairly inflexible Heroz routine), I have plenty of memory space, I know at least one version works on my iPad, and the behavior is identical to that from before, so I'm pretty sure it's not a problem on my end, but as there apparently aren't many having these difficulties I'm a little baffled and am willing to try anything you might suggest...
Any help you could provide would be -greatly- appreciated! (Don't make Rook's ascent to #2 too easy on him!)
Ditto here. Almost. I have the problem on my iPhone 4s. iOS 5 but I can play on my partners iPad2 iOS 5.1.1 with the hd version of heroz
I looked briefly through the leader boards for the last 20 or so days, and the range is anywhere from about 1550 to 1760, with most days averaging in the 1620-40 range. The sudden drop over the last 5 days is not insignificant. I don't think a 10% drop is just coincidence. The drop is is similar to the one leading up to day 745/746 when this problem was happening before.Quote:

I'm using an iPad 3 with iOS 6.1.3 and the HD app was working on day 769 for part of the day, then it just started crashing when connected to wifi. I haven't been able to load the game since then. The iPhone version of the app does work on the iPad, though. I'm also using an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.4 and the app opens up just fine. Restarting the device and/or clearing the app from the multitask bar doesn't fix anything.
What iOS version you have on your device? Most people who have reported this seem to have problems with iPad, not with iPhone so it would be good to know more information.Quote:

If i turn off my wifi and go to Airplane mode - the program starts, but I cannot load daily run. Turning on my network connection makes the program crash again.
Same problem here as reported. And it seems to be across the board and systems since I have an iPad First Generation, using OiS 5.1.1
So it's happening on iPad 1 and iPad 3 and iPhone 5 using all sorts of OiS. But same issue...works fine in airplane mode but cycles logo when trying to connect and then crashes.
Just adding more info, my game loads and plays fine this time around. iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4.

Thank you for your reports. Have you all updated 1000 Heroz to the latest version? Latest version is 1.6.0. I'm pretty sure that you have updated your game, but I just want to be sure.

Argh. I am 'out' of restarts on the non-iPad version now. I begrudgingly give you yet another dollar, but please, keep us updated if possible on how the repairs are going...the buttons are not comfortably positioned when playing the iPhone version on the iPad.
