about the physics of motorcycle
Hello
What do you think about the physics of the game?
Video -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-zQkoEtVtg
is very very very ... .. ... . . . . very very wrong http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...on/naughty.gif
ok i explain to you : A 250cc motorcycle is about 150 kg
How is it possible to get the bike falls forward just leaning forward
Do you ride motocycle in real life some time ?
so.. is very very .. very impossible
You do not realize the weight of a motorcycle? compared to the force of a human being
Sorry for my english

I am so confused right now about what the problem is.

Re: about the physics of motorcycle
ah right i see your point now. Well by simply leaning forward - no the bike wouldn't flip or tilt but if you combine it with a jerk as you do in the video it essentially becomes a small bunny hop where the bike gathers a small amount of momentum and at the angle the front tire re-connects with the ground it is quite easy to flip forward i would think
Re: about the physics of motorcycle
We are not trying to simulate "real" physics in Trials. Making bike behave exacly like in real life would make the riding extremly hard and boring. Our bike physics is long evolution between making the riding fun and and yet still technical where you have lots of techniques to master.
One good example is that we use same default friction for all of the surfaces. You would think that it would make the game better to have "real" friction values on different surfaces but actually it makes the game significantly harder.

http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...s/icon/eek.gif are you saying that plywood has the same friction values as all the other objects?

No the center of gravity makes this impossible on a real motorcycle.
Even if you pull the handlebar upwards and bas
Thanks to RedLynx for the accuracy;)
But it's still as crazy behavior
