I know, it's an obscure sport... but I'm into it! I know Murdoc used to be REALLY into it. Anyone else?
For those who don't know what it is, this video is one of my favorites:
I'm not that great myself... my average score on most courses is usually around +12. My best score is +6, which I've shot twice at the Truckee River Course and once at the Squaw Valley course up here in Tahoe.
I thought it would be fun to have a thread here in Off-Topic for us to share some of our experiences, so I'll start!
Truckee River is one of the easier courses around here, and I'm pretty sure I'll beat my best of +6 on it pretty soon. The Squaw Valley course however is much harder. My best score on it up until my last round was +11. Then out of nowhere I had an awesome round and got +6! Hole 18 is a Par 4, and I was already at +7 when I got to it. My first drive was pretty much perfect (for my current skill level anyway), but my second drive went far left... I think I was around 60 feet from the basket still. I was just trying to play it safe and go for an approach shot that guaranteed a par on the hole, and +7 on the course. But somehow I made it from this far away, and ended up getting a Birdie on the hole:

I've been playing on and off for over 5 years, but it was very sporadic in the past... usually less than 10 games per year. Last summer I started playing a bit more than usual, and this year I've really stepped it up. I have an iPhone app that allows me to enter my scores on each course/hole as I play, and export the data to a CSV file, which I can then import into an XLS file to track my stats/progress! I got the app in May of 2011, and I've been keeping track ever since.
