redoing volc aah no track need some advice
hi all, im redoing my volc aah no track, and trying to eliminate the horrible lag issues and track line, the track line ive sorted (note to self dont build tracks that spiral upwards!!, straight is great!), but im struggling a bit with performance issues, one of the suggestions that someone left was that i had too many physics objects in one area and that i should change them all to decoration only, as i created the whole volcano from scratch this made sense, so ive rebuilt the whole track again, but it looks a bit S*** how you disappear into the rocks if you dont make the jump, i could make all objects on the driving line physics objects again but im worried that the performance issues will come back as there is still a lot of arty stuff left to do ie: lava flows, explosions, triggers, smoke etc, so if any of you have any other suggestions to reduce performance issues i would be pleased to hear them, i think i must be doing something wrong as ive played many user tracks that have a lot of stuff going on in them and they dont seem to suffer from performance issues.

i would advice to have physics on driveline
as for preformance issues, you could make physics bubble smaller, max view distance and the other distance in the same menu

I just finished my volcano track called volcano island. My GT: is bloodbooger1. I would love to compare notes if you want.

Get rid of all glue that is attached to static objects. Glue can cause horrible lag if used incorrectly.
