To the Youtube Video Uploaders who use Sony Vegas!
PLEASE tell me what's the quickest way to render from Sony Vegas 9, I mean at the moment it's taking me just over an hour to render a 3 minute video. IT'S INSANE!
I see the custom track channels whipping out 5-10 videos an hour, but how!? http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image..._surprised.gif

I render at 6.5mbps WMV. About 3 minutes per 30 seconds of video on my BAD PC.

I whip out videos cause I don't render lol Raw video FTW!
I'm not sure why it would take that long to render, if I do render it usually takes 10 mins or so....HD
edit- I render 6 mbps, .wmv
Re: To the Youtube Video Uploaders who use Sony Vegas!
I don't know what mbps per min i use, but if i'm looking at a first draft of a vid i use draft or preview to render. Either way, wmv or mp4 or other, it's going to take a while to render. That's just the way it is.
There's a bunch of how to render vids on Youtube. here's one i found helpful, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R44OkseVnr8

Hey Jarrett how do you just upload raw footage? When I record using the Hauppauge I use the associated recording software (Playstation 3 - T something format), I'd like to use the Xbox 360 feature which records to mp4 but it creates an un-deletable file that crashes programs that read from it. So I have to import the T something (lol don't knwo the name) into Sony Vegas, and then render the video from there. Which is what takes the time.
I would love to be able to just record raw footage form the PVR, and upload it straight to Youtube.

I also use the Playstation 3 M2TS file type. I just record from the total media, and upload to youtube....Youtube gives you problems?

http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...on_redface.gif I have it in my head that Youtube would not accept that file (Without trying)...
...I'll try when I get home from work. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...on_e_smile.gif

When I first got my Hauppauge (few years ago) Youtube wouldn't upload the MTS files and I had to convert them. But thank god they take HD vids now and have been for over a year! MTS files have no problems uploading, you shoulda just tried it :p
It will work!
