Track Suggestions Needed
This is happyguyxlii, also known as HG42 or DatSauceGuy (on XBLA).
I've had trouble with a track of late. It is not technical problems or anything of that sort. I was just planning on doing a classic type of Trials track, without too many physics usage. I decided to contact someone for help because I am not quite sure if the track is fun enough, or needs adjustments in certain areas. So I decided, since I enjoyed the user katamariUK's tracks and wasn't sure if the mods on this site were busy or not, to ask him the same things I am asking you. He didn't seem to be too keen on seeing my tracks at the time, so he directed me to this site, which I had thought of using a day earlier.
I normally like opinions from other people, and I would like help analyzing the graphics and certain checkpoints on a track entitled "Junkyard (Night)":
Checkpoint 1:
The car area. This mat be too easy for a hard level track.
The box leading onto checkpoint 2. Too easy or too hard to get by? Suggestions?
Checkpoint 2:
This seems a bit too easy in the first 2 seconds. The jumps afterward are good, although I would like to know if the distance is too great on the last one leading up to checkpoint 3.
Checkpoint 3:
The near vertical climb. Too easy or too hard? A few more degrees down or fine as it is?
Checkpoint 4:
This seems a bit easy for me. Any suggestions for improvement?
Checkpoint 5: I don't feel like the climb is the best way to finish off the track. Are there any suggestions? Should I use a trampoline and do something else above that? Should I make the track longer?
I also have questions about the look of the game. Do you feel like you are outside (and do you see a ceiling anywhere in the game [if so, would you be kind enough to put in a screenshot])?
I'm trying to make it feel like nighttime, which is what you might guess from the name.
Do you think I should brighten up the purposely dim lighting? Anywhere in which you cannot see?
Are there any objects that seem out of place?
Again, my gamertag is DatSauceGuy if you would like to see this track. :)
Thank you,
