So I updated my drivers through Steam and loaded up Trials 2, but I'm not sure if this could be the only cause of the lights making things darker.
Any help in fixing this would be appreciated because even though playing like this is pretty fun, it's impossible to get a good time. *sadface*

Re: Slight Lighting Problem...
ok, I had this exact problem.
If you recently updated your ATI drivers, you might need to go into "3d settings" in catalyst manager and turn all of the following to "application preference":
anti aliasing
anistropic filtering
also turn catalyst AI to "standard"
it was the anti aliasing i think that was messing things up....i thought it was all "trials" problems until i noticed similar issues with texture loading in crysis after my driver update.

Yes, you must NOT force anti-aliasing on from the driver control panel. Trials 2 is not compatible with anti-aliasing.

Re: Slight Lighting Problem...
devz: That worked perfectly, thank you.
sebbbi: I previously forced anti-aliasing for Half-Life (the first one) to make the edges smooth (why else would you force anti-aliasing?) and I didn't have a problem with Trials then so the latest ATi driver update buggered something up.
