Your least favourite level
i'm going to be making this a poll soon, but i'd like some suggestions for the candidates, because some people might hate some levels that i like, or vice versa.
(i know theres something kinda similar floating around the top of the forums, but this doesnt neccessarily mean difficult, just something you dont like - i would call Diabolica very difficult, but fun)
my main hates are (in no particular order):
Groundhog returns:
not difficult to finish, but sodding hard to get the platinum
Pro Speedway:
again, not hard to finish, but theres a couple of jumps in there that really bug me. also, if you dont get it spot on the whole way through, your time suffers so much
Unfair bombardment:
the bombs that you ride across are SO unforgiving
Space Station:
when your going for a quick time, its SO annoying when you overdo a jump a little, and your left hanging in the air for what seems like several hours
Isabelle:
mainly because its at the ond of one of the tournaments, and its really hard to be consistant on it
Inferno II:
the last jump (for me at least) is 99% luck, 1% skill, and normally roins my run
can you guys think of any more i should put in
*edit*
a couple more that are definitly making it to the poll
Smoke and mirrors: took me about 3 hours over 2 days to get platinum on that (thanks a bundle for reminding me about that Jonofthejungle, lol)
Donkey business:
you have to use the donkey bike, nuff said.
Prison break:
another one that took me many years and moons to get platinum. i finally got it with two narrow escapes from crashing (if your REALLY interested, take a look at the replay. its in the 58's).
i'll probably start up the poll on thursday - i've got a whole bunch of RL stuff that'll keep me away from the PC untill then
Re: Your least favourite level
donkey bike trac easy.... hate it so much.. its my only hard trac left to 0 fault
Re: Your least favourite level
Dangerous Ride and Junkyard.
Re: Your least favourite level
Smoke and mirrors. It has a horrible flow to it and some really annoying bits!
I went for plat on this one today and it took me about an hour! I realise now, you can do it at a snail pace, as long as you get it right.
I hate the slope with a barrel at the top, the bit where you have to slow right down and the jump off the next bit.
I finished with 2 seconds to spare, but I think it was the first time I 0 faulted it!
Re: Your least favourite level
I hate playing Groundhog Forever and Brown Boxes. It just feels like a chore to get past some of the obstacles, especially the last 2 checkpoints of Brown Boxes.
Re: Your least favourite level
Smoke & Mirrors
Prison Break
Junkyard
Re: Your least favourite level
i dislike every Groundhog track. i just do not enjoy any of them. Begins and Returns are too tough to get plats on and felt properly like work, and Forever is pretty easy for an extreme track but just has little awkward bits you can easily do the odd fault on.
but the winner for me is definitely Skyway. i can't think of one redeeming feature in that track. hmmmm... *thinks hard*... no, fo sho!
Re: Your least favourite level
Out of the original tracks it's got to be Unfair Bombardment. The number of times I have done the World Championship with 0 faults up to that point and get a ton of faults on UB is a joke.
Out of the DLC though there is quite a few.
Spacestation I can't stand.
Isabelle I'm not too fond of either.
Dangerous ride has too much waiting around and the huge see-saw thing near the end just feels random.
Skyway and Junkyard..... too much physics and things that are not consistant. Actually any level that has the fans on is just an irritant.
Re: Your least favourite level
^^ agree about the fans. i just think they were a bad idea, full stop. i'm still not totally sure what i should be doing to get max speed through fan bits.
off-topic : EF, i'm 3 places up on you now!woo!
Re: Your least favourite level
After thinking about this for a couple days, I would have to say that my least favourite is 1-Bit Trip. It's a neat level, but I haven't played it since I managed platinum on it. It's the only course I haven't gone back to after platinum.
I've grown to enjoy the level a bit more than before, but it's still too long for the kind of level that it is. I'm also not a fan of the camera angle change and the green that's tough on the eyes. Nothing extreme, but I enjoy the other levels so much more that I probably won't come back to this one for awhile.
