I first heard about trials from miniclip.
I used to play the flash game few years ago in addictinggames or something similar. Someone told me about this game and I had to buy it.
I used to play the game when i was younger then on a website called fun-motion i found a thred in the forums about it and hear i am!
i use the play trials as a flash game on http://www.heavygames.com and miniclip then saw the add on miniclip
Heard my brother voice saying:" hmm.. we could so some cool stuff by using physics!" and then we tought that trials game would be fun to do. It was 2000 or something like that.
Played the first once on miniclip, and I saw a tip on kotaku that there was a new Trials 2 SE. Had to check it out!
Played it on miniclip for a while and then I saw the ad and I was really interested. Just had to buy it.

I once had played the old 2d trials somewhere on the net where, uhm, probably not official, you had lots of tracks like Mt. Rushmore and "Babe". And recently I was trying to find it again, without success and then, while looking up Redlynx, I eventually discovered that there is some full 3d version. A short investigation at youtube got me instantly hooked even without being able to play the demo with my rusty'n'dusty old laptop (being abroad at that time)

So yeah i joined rather late in the game. Never played any of the previous 5 versions.
I played the first trials game and i have even drawn some tracks. You had to make black background and do the track in green. And to finish, it was necessary to add a second backgound to make it look nice. I would like to do tracks for trials second edition but there's no editor. Maybe in trials 3 !!!
