We are also very much interested about XBox Live Arcade, as the distribution model, the community features, live server (for high scores, ghost, replays), achievements, the Xbox 360 controller and many other things suit Trials 2 SE perfectly.
But lets get though the Trials 2 SE launch first, before we think about any possible future plans.
How many of you have Xbox 360 or PS3 and would be interested to have the game on XBLA (XBox Live arcade) or PSN (Playstation Network)?
well you already know that i have!! lol otherwise i wouldnt have made this disscussion
i was just talking to my buddy about this the other day!!! xbox needs a game like this and with the whole xbox live arcade it fits perfectly!!! it would be an awesome idea just for the fact that a ****load of people would buy it and the community would really grow!!!
well i'm thinking of mentioing something like that in my review so when it goes up on the site more people will see it and think the same thing. i have a good feeling it will be on there at some point. one question though. do we all get free full game versions of it on there? http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...s/icon_lol.gif http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...s/icon_lol.gif http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...s/icon_lol.gif
free would be nice!!! i would just like it so much because my computer is **** and i have to play in low res. on xbox it would be tweaked specifically for that platform so im sure the graphics would be insane!! i actually tried to play trials 2 with my xbox controller on my comp, the analog controls didnt really work to well for me on the harder levels where you had to gas and lean forward up the steep inclines it always pitched my guy to far forward and i would lose traction and fall on my face. what would be nice is if they had analog support for the comp version!! wow, long post sorry!!
I doubt Microsoft feels the same, as most of the profit from XBLA game sales goes to them http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...icon_smile.gifQuote:

Of course various platform specific optimizations would improve the situation, making the game perform slightly better than with similar powered PC-graphics chips (and allowing us to improve the graphics quality slightly).Quote:

PS3 pad has both analog triggers and analog buttons, making it possible to have other analog features as well.Quote:

hell yeah it would!! im sure this will be released on arcade at some point.
it would probably be the most played arcade game on xbl!!! im just wondering how many thousands would buy it??? big money for redlynx hint hint http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image.../icon_wink.gif
I don't have, and don't intend to buy any of the above said console thingies, but I think it is a very good idea http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...icon_smile.gif
I DO have a very good analog pad for my pc though, and it would be so awesome to have analog steering in trials 2. I mean, just think about having exact steering...drool. If you have ever used a good steering wheel in rally games you know what I mean.
My controller actually works very good in trials 2 already, it has got two analog sticks, and two analog triggers. With it comes a very good program that lets you choose exactly how your sticks and triggers should work ( and all the other buttons as well of course ), you can set them to do anything really. So far I have used the two sticks, the left one for gas and braking ( up and down ), and the right one for leaning backwards and forwards ( left and right ). This way I can use the other directions ( left and right on the left stick and up and down on the right stick ) to move the mouse in the game, very handy when you sit at the tv and play http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...icon_smile.gif
I actually hadn't thought of using the triggers until I read your post about the xbox controler sebbbi, I think I will do that now, thank you http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...icon_smile.gif
Playing this game on a big TV is very nice indeed, and sitting in a comfy armchair while doing so isn't a minus either ^^
All this takes some adjusting and you have to fine tune the controller with the program to make it work the way you want it to, but it is worth it. I don't think I have set any number 1 records with this setup yet, probably because I haven't used the triggers instead of the stick, since with the stick you can only do one thing at a time, gas or brake. I will come back with a review on how the triggers work after I tried it http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...icon_smile.gif
The pad I am talking about is the saitek cyborg rumble pad ( tbh rumbling is only annoying... ). It was pretty cheap, and the program that let's you program it http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image.../icon_razz.gif is very good.
http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/p3600.htm
Don't drink and drive! ( unless it is trials 2, you are of legal age and don't care if you set any records at the time ^^ )
i used the triggers on my x360 controllers for gas and brake and liked it alot!!! i used the right stick to lean and the left stick as my mouse control. the start button was escape and select button was R. so i could do everything with my controller. it worked awesome on the easy and medium levels but it didnt work to well on the hard levels where you have to be more exact. analog control should be added would be so precise and perfect!!!!!!!!
yeah tell me about it. hey lasor whats you gamertag? what other games do you play?
gamertag= sgt lasor . right now i play cod4 but in a couple days im moving on to rainbow six 2 !!!! add me
Trials 2 SE has native (XInput) support for XBox 360 controller now, and it supports rumble too.Quote:

sounds good to me!!! might take a sec to get used to but then its on!!!!!!!!
Well i don't have an X360, so i don't find much interest in it...
But if it does, i hope it won't be like Switchball (another little diamond for my tastes), which got released on Live with an editor and cooperative mod, things we -the pc users- never saw http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...s/icon_cry.gif
switchball on 360 didnt have an editor. it had multiplayer but not an editor. i just reviewed it a couple of weeks ago for acegamez.co.uk
I got Switchball for the PC and was expecting an Editor as they said it would have one with it, but unfortunately it was released without http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image...s/icon_sad.gifQuote:

i have an xbox and i would defiantly buy trials 2, and tell all my buddys about it! lol
Really? Now i feel better http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/image.../icon_wink.gif I couldn't get over that there was a finished/polished editor and they didn't gave it to everyone. Glad it's not that way. Lets hope they will release it someday, somehow...Quote:

360 & PS3 name: smeace
Just registering my interest for this.
There has been so many questions about our future XBox Live Arcade plans, that I renamed this thread and made it sticky so everyone can find it better.
Please keep all questions, speculation and suggestions about possible future Trials XBLA and PSN versions inside this thread. Thank you!
Just wanted to say i would Definitly purchase this game if it were available on the PSN.
Perfect kind of game to be on the PSN, i'm sure it would do very well.
Ive just posted in the official xbox forum about this game because its great, and I purchased it last night and cant get enough of it, I would definatly buy this again on xbox live arcade, I would even pay 1600ms points for thi quite happily
Just wanted to say that it would be really cool to have this on my 360 too.
Would be cool fo you could make it two player. Not sure how it should be done, maybe with a split screen or something. Don't want one of the 1 player first 2 player after.
also it would be nice if we could play with the same profil we have from before. So it would be the same ranking and we dont have to beat the same track on both computer and 360/PS3.
I too have a 360 with a live account. I was actually coming to suggest this very thing before noticing the sticky thread. Seeing the whole achievements aspect of the game immediately made me think of XBox Live Arcade.
How's the Xbox Live Acade going? Any news?
Now that they have upped the game limit to 350mb, will that make it easier for Trials 2 SE to be added to the XBLA?!
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/article...-s-david-ederyQuote:
Q: And you're upping the size of Xbox Live Arcade games as well to 350 megabytes?
David Edery: Yeah, it's a steady progress. We've been listening to our partners, listening to our customers to try and get a feel for what's right. We don't want the size limit to hit the roof because we think there's some value in promoting small pick and play experiences that don't cost USD 20 million, it's good for the ecosystem.
Whenever a developer is developing a game to any of the major console platforms, the developer usually can't release any news before a official press release from the publisher. So do not expect to hear anything first here at the forums if a console version is going to be released in the future.Quote:

There has been no announcing about there even beeing a 360 or PS3 version. So no one know.Quote:

Is there really any excuse for this still not being on XBLA? There's even a community games section for games made with the XNA Development kit.
Pull your finger out.
Unlike the real Xbox development kit (XDK), the XNA only supports C# programming language. Our technology platform alone is at least 300 000 lines C++ code. Porting it to C# would take very very long time (a year maybe if we had enough people assigned to the project). Also the physics engine we are using is not ported to C#, and neither is Physx or Havok. PC wrapper C++ -> C# libraries do not work on Xbox 360 (those only work on PC C# code). It has to be native C# code to work on the box. All in all, it would be a huge work to port the game to XNA.Quote:

So user created level sharing for example would be impossible, as would be ghost racing and replay viewing of all the records in every leaderboard entry. XNA is good for hobbyists, but does not offer anything of value for professional game developers (except for a good environment to do prototypes).
We have been really interested on XBLA for a long time. But XNA is not the way to get there...
xbox 360 with a game i like on it?!
heh i only play rockband 2, but would probably get trials just so i can get to the top on xbox
