Trials 2 Second Edition Review
I'll try to keep this review clean but this won't be easy because there is a huge amount of new stuff and there is a lot of that stuff that most users here already know or have access to so hope y'all enjoy.
I'll start with the controls: This is dead on. The bike's handling is tight! The first edition had physics that were a little too "bouncy" which made the bike unstable. The rear wheel often rebounded, making you lose grip and fall in a bunch of flaming barrels or the like. Now the bike responds in a way that you can feel the grip and you can predict the way the bike's is going to react which makes riding much more enjoyable. Also when jumping, the tilting effect was a little brutal and you had to be extra careful. Now it feels just right so you don't have to worry about that face plant when shifting your weight forward while airborne for example. There is also the rear fender that could be used to prevent a fall on your back, this was also fixed..
Now the tracks selection, there is something for everybody. Here's the complete breakout of the tracks in the Second Edition.
3 Tutorials (Intro, the current one and an all-new one)
11 Easy
8 Medium
8 Hard
3 Flip
2 Wheelie
4 Dynamic
The variety in tracks is astounding. I don't want to spoil too much here but expect the unexpected. There are some obstacles that are seriously going to blow your mind (or make you lose it). This is a Trials game alright but the keyword here is GAME because in real life you can only dream of doing things like you will do on some of the tracks in the update. Also I had the occasion to play with the dynamic levels quite a bit and they are such a blast to play. You have to try this to believe it! Trials 2 has found a niche in physics-related gaming enthusiasts and if you happen to be one of them, you know you want to try them! I can't tell you how much sounds of amazement came from my friend's and my own mouth while playing them. Don't forget the wheelie and flip tracks: while the wheelie tracks available so far are pretty much what you'd expect (one flat and one less flat), the 3 flip tracks are very different from each other and they offer quite a different and interesting challenge. The first one is pretty much what you'd expect from a flip track, the second gets fancier and the 3rd track is simply wicked! That concludes the levels aspect.
Ghost: Again, this is pretty much what you'd expect but this is a great addition to the game. When I play to be competitive, I can't play without it anymore.
Achievements and rankings: the 25 achievements are a nice addition, some of them a quite easy to get while some were designed to be almost impossible to get. Since this game is one of the toughest out there, it's only natural that some of these awards rewards people for doing "superhuman" performances, which is how one award is (aptly) named. The rankings have new features as well, you can browse your team's ranking, your country's ranking (all track rankings can display weekly and all-time best runs) you now have a global rank stat and some experience and level. All these goodies gives the game even more depth and replayability. I insist on this word: replayability, because this is what this game is all about.
Other features include: in-game chat, replay recording (to your computer) gamepad support, multiple camera angles, new bike wheels, rider skin and 3D ragdoll to name a few.
I hope this review will give you an idea of what to expect from this great update.

I promise to make a proper Wheelie-3 later (the full game automatically downloads all new levels from the server).
