Hey Vex, thanks the new features look good :) Do we have a date for the new patch?
yes...YES...YEEEEEEESSSSSS
Vextor, i will have your babies. SP mode base reset. Bro fist. Now to put these late game weapons and final skills to work!!!
Unless I'm missing something it sounds like with this new "beta testing" thing we STILL won't be able to create playlists. While this is definitely an improvement I'm not "beta testing" my map I spent 65+ hours on any more. I'm just trying to play it for the sake of playing it (<-- nitpicking admittedly).
I'm very happy that the very very bad situation for map editors is at least improving, though it sounds like it still isn't near where it needs to be. Please, please, PLEASE take the failed MP launches for FC2 and 3 into account when making FC4!! I don't think I can stay an FC fan if it's so miserably botched again. It's proving difficult enough as it is.
Finally :)
Although not what we (most) wanted to hear, still good update! In the beta-test, do players also get to vote?
Yup!
Cool!
hope theres players out there still to try it :p
thanks vextor
Like usmovers_02 has said, I'd like some clarity on how the Beta testing option works.
Does it just act like another "tier" playlist, but all matches going on in that playlist are currently being hosted by actual people? Does that mean you can't choose which lobbies to join?
What about map rotation? After a match is played can we actually change maps without still having to back out and restart a new lobby? I still find it impossible to believe that this most staple and basic feature throughout gaming history was never in FC3 since launch anyway.
The Beta Test Playlist is populated by single-map sessions, started by map-makers. You join the playlist if you want to help out.
So can we browse maps in the map archive that are actively in beta testing and choose to join that map in progress? Or do we need to be invited?
