I realize that one has to travel for business and avoiding flying would be nigh impossible and still keep ones career.
For all other travel, though, I'd recommend boycotting. Hit the airlines where it counts and they'll b!tch. Call your congressional representative.
I'll go through a metal detector, but I'm not going to put myself through a backscatter x-ray device. I don't care who says they're safe. Being felt up to make sure I'm not carrying a non regulation sized shampoo bottle? Absurd. Illegal.
Inspecting 3 year old girls? WTF is wrong with this picture?
IMO the terrorists won this round.
edit PASSING THOUGHT: Many of the right believe the tell tale signs of destruction of the Constitution would start if altering the 2nd ammendment would be allowed. Who'd a thunk illegal search and seizure (4th Amendment) would be it.
This is a dark dark path the country is headed.
From what I've read you're not neccessarily subject to arrest, but you may be fined either criminally or civilly for declining to continue through security after turning down the scan and the new "pat downs". BTW, if you have not heard, the new pat downs require pat down examination of all areas of the body, including breast and crotch (excluding children under 13, though cold comfort for a 14yr girl), and anyone declining the scanner must have the pat down or risk prosecution of one sort or another. This really is too far...Quote:
