Very impressive. Pointe du Hoc looks great. The airfields look much more life like.

I love all your unique airfields..
Not Channel ...but I actually was given a diagram of a real airfield from Mingladon, Burma to copy .... very hard to find anything for the theatre of my Thai/Burma/Indo-china map.

Information on the map can be found at the 352nd Virtual Fighter Group Site. We can't post links here, but it is easy to find. There is a special section in our forum devoted to news of the map.
The map is being painfully and lovingly created by a team of very skilled folks ... attention to detail is paramount and we won't release the map until we are completely satisfied that every base works exactly as intended. No rough runways, broken spawn points, etc. As you can imagine, it's a lot of work to make such a large map right.
This map is projected to be the first of three (and the smallest). The other two will be much larger and encompass most of the ETO, although detail will intentionally be left sp**** because of the size of the maps.
We don't know how this map will play on "weaker" systems .. that remains to be seen. It might well turn out that we are pushing boundaries here and some might not be able to use the map. We won't know until we try it.
There is no projected release date because we don't know when it will be completed, and our present plans are to *not* release a beta ... better to wait and do it right, we think.
Edit, good grief, the "censors" took out a word that contained a string ... egads. "Sp**** " was intended ... means "thinly detailed".
