I don't know about hiring anyone specifically, but I know if I was making a game, it for sure would have gory violence, haha.

Frankly speaking, I wouldn't want Far Cry to turn into such trash.
(It was a mod)
Avid dismemberment is more for historic games, where cold weapons were used: swords, axes.....
And its more for zombie, horror, games.
What is good in one case may not be so good in another case.
The idea that dismemberment, body deformation and generally improved depictions of gore are only suitable for specific settings or genres is an asinine proposition.

This particular game doesn't need it.
It's too much.
It's something that changes and begins to spoil the general atmosphere of the game.
Its stylistics.
The same with Far Cry.
Gore is a delicate thing.
Going too far with this may spoil the game.
Piss on that. Define "too far". "Too far" is a subjective idea that cannot be acutely articulated . One can just as easily say that by not going far enough they have spoiled it. Neither you, me, nor anyone else here can say what is too much or not enough, but I am of the belief that, the FC franchise as a whole has underwhelmed with it's depiction of gore. They've never yet taken it to the level it needs to be to properly convey combat in a satisfying manner...
"Too far" - is an artistic view.
Developers should decide it for themselves.
They face a difficult and contradictory task - on the one hand gore Must Be, on the other they shouldn't go too far with that.
Otherwise the game will turn into one bloody disgusting mess with constant guts out and brains splashing on the screen.
Something that's good for Doom won't be so good for the game that is closer to realism.
We can remember two movies, Rambo 4 and Rambo 2.

Rambo 4 had much gore: blood, guts, arms and legs blown away.....Did it make it any better?
Only worse.
As for gore in general....
Developers are facing difficult task - masses are dark and bloodthirsty.
It's a perpetual problem.
Because we and they're also part of that mass.
What do people people want?
Blood, guts, porno and beer.
Developers can't get down to that level.
They should raise people higher, at least they should try.
People were always having fun watching at something like this.....

Our desire to have much gore is the same fun!
More subtle and disguised but fundamentally the same.
That's why developers should take a more responsible approach.
I've contributed to this thread from it's early days and have not once seen anyone suggesting they implement gore in an over-the-top manner that would be detrimental to the experience. All the comments I've seen against improving the series' depictions of gore I feel have been strawman in nature, including these latest ones.
