A future for Starlink? From a sincere fan...
I love Starlink.
I LOVE STARLINK.
This is by far, one of the most enjoyable games I HAVE EVER PLAYED. I BOUGHT IT THREE TIMES for the opportunity to play it. And I have fallen in love.
From characters, to the worlds, even down to the music, atmosphere, and EVEN the Toys-To-Life mechanic were implemented fantastically, with digital play still supported if need be (it's been a real help for me. Joy-Con Drift war veteran here, still fighting...)
But, despite the wonderful quality of Ubisoft's toys, the talented work of Ubisoft Toronto, and genuine passion for the game, there's no denying STARLINK went the same way BATTLETAG did (remember that? The Ubisoft Laser Tag game from like 2009? I do!)
IT. FAILED. HARD.
Now, I still scour the internet hoping to complete the physical collection (someday), but I need to get this out there. I WANT MORE.
I want to see more of the STARLINK universe, travelling to new Star Systems, with new characters, new ships, and new weapons. Heck, I know Toys To Life is DEAD, but I'd still be okay if it wasn't a TTL compatible game. I just want to see the STARLINK universe expand.
I don't expect anyone to feel the same way I do, as I'm probably the last person to ever care about this DOA game, and the ONLY one to not be interested in it just because of the STARFOX collab.
I pray that some day, we can blast into the stars again someday. I just hope I'm not the only one.
Ubi, if you're listening, please, don't let STARLINK die. At least, not forever. Someday, somehow, please give this franchise another try. I know you guys have the talent, the heart, and the spirit to do great things. Whenever the day comes, I'll be strapped in the cockpit, ready to take off again. :)
