I just recognized that two threads were closed by a Community Representative with the remark
I would understand this if the original topic would have been no longer valid, e.g. because it is outdated, the feature changed or else. This would be necro-posting. But in both cases, the topic was still valid, the issue existing and the age of the post played absolutely no role. There are no newer threads about the same topic. A nice clarification can be found e.g. here: https://steamcommunity.com/discussio...2438661366619/Quote:
Please refrain from necro-ing old threads! Double check the date of threads before commenting!
Up to everything I know as netiquette, one should use existing threads instead of opening new ones over and over again to keep the discussion together and more focused. Of course, there should be new content in each contribution and it should not be just a bump up for the visibility of the thread.
I'd like to mention that I disagree with the content in both of the closed threads, but what I dislike even more is 10 new threads every week requesting the same stuff over and over again. This does not make things better.
