My major long-term goals on TC2
One of the main things I've been focusing on in TC2 recently is trying to complete my long-term goals, progressively. Overtime, these long-term goals will be completed, and until then, I have to keep playing TC2 to reach them.
There are three major goals I've set for this:
1. Converting all the performance parts to Legendary parts, paired with the Nitro Chemist Set Bonus.
2. Recalibrating all the parts' affixes to the right ones, and maxing them out for a perfect set.
3. Reaching Icon level 9,999.
For the 1st goal, I'm doing this because previously, every vehicle in my collection had solely Epic-colored parts; these colored parts are relatively easy to get since I do events mostly on Ace difficulty, originally focusing on a higher value for Goldfinder through Icon points and using the Loot Digger Set Bonus to help me get them. But then I began to think about moving them to Legendary parts, which - from a collector's point of view - is a HUGE task, but in the end, worth it.
This process began last year, during the 2nd anniversary bonuses for TC2, where the Live Rewards had substantially more Legendary parts, and appeared more regularly around the map. This is where the Live Reward Sniffer Set Bonus - combined with maximum available Collector and Goldfinder - proved hugely beneficial to the process. Later, it eventually moved over to earning those parts from events in-game, mostly on Ace difficulty. Because of my very-high Icon level (standing at least 6,400), I used all the available Icon points to go towards Lucky, which guarantees me more Legendary loot versus Epic or Rare. Paired with the Loot Digger Set Bonus, and the recent changes made to how much loot is earned in events, it allowed be to tick off each and every discipline, one at a time.
The first discipline of my choosing to take the crown was Hovercrafts, followed by Rally Raid in second place. Eventually, the process had spread over to Jet Sprint Boats, Hypercars, Motocross Bikes etc.
The really gargantuan job for this came with the Street Race discipline; at over 160 vehicles, it was a very tedious process to convert from Epic to Legendary Nitro Chemist parts. How I managed to do it, I'm stumped by it.
The process eventually turned into getting each progressive discipline in a single Motorsports family done before moving on to the next. Street Racing was first, followed by Offroad, then Freestyle, and finally, Pro Racing.
The entire process was finished off with the Alpha GP vehicles being the last ones to do.
It means the first major long-term goal was complete: converting all vehicles to Legendary Nitro Chemist parts; well worth it.
For the second goal, this will be a long, progressive one, but I'm prepared for it. Sorting out the different affixes for each vehicle will be a long task, and it's different per discipline.
For Street Race four-wheelers, it's a toss-up between Pure and Extra Pump, or Resourceful and Extra Pump; this is different depending on the vehicle.
For Street Race Interception Units, it's two parts Pure, five parts Extra Pump, and seven parts Bulldozer.
For Street Race two-wheelers, it's two parts Pure, five parts Extra Pump, and seven parts Bender.
For Drift vehicles, I would focus on the perfect combination of Slippery and Hothead.
For Drag Race vehicles, it's a straightforward use of Pure and Frenetic.
For Hypercars, it's a very obvious selection: Pure and Extra Pump throughout.
For Hypercar Interception Units, it's two parts Pure, five parts Extra Pump, and seven parts Bulldozer.
For both four-wheelers and two-wheelers in Rally Raid - especially Enforcer Units - it's two parts Pure, five parts Extra Pump, and seven parts Muddy.
For Motocross, I'd lean closely to Ventilated and Graceful.
For Rally Cross, it's two parts Pure, five parts Extra Pump, and seven parts Muddy.
For Hovercrafts, they rely heavily on drifting around corners, so it means using the perfect combination of Pure and Drifty.
For Aerobatics planes, it's Magnificent and Tricky.
For Demolition Derby vehicles, it's a difficult one, but I think I will settle for Extra Pump and Bulldozer (unless someone has a better suggestion for this discipline).
For Jet Sprint boats, it's a straight up set of Pure and Extra Pump.
For the Monster Trucks in point-based events (excluding Motorflix stunt events), it's a mix of Gifted and Graceful, with one separate set of six parts Extra Pump, five parts Pure and 3 parts Ventilated used for race-based events.
For the Powerboats, it's the Pure and Extra Pump combination set.
For the Touring Cars, its' Pure and Extra Pump.
For the Touring Motorbikes, it's two parts Pure, five parts Extra Pump, and seven parts Bender.
For the Air Race planes, I would think of possibly using a mixed set of seven parts Tricky, two parts Extreme Mode, three parts Gateway, and two parts Perfectionist.
And lastly, for the Alpha GP F1-esque cars, it's Pure and Extra Pump no-nonsense set.
With these in mind, the process of getting each vehicle maxed out to their respective maximum affix values will be a true, long-term goal which will be completed; it all depends on me juggling my priorities between TC2 and other games in my collection.
For the third goal, I'm intent on getting it done; reaching Icon level nine-nine-nine-nine (I couldn't resist saying it this way). Trying to juggle between converting all vehicles to Legendary Nitro Chemist parts and earning followers is a really difficult job. But I can say that, since the first goal is complete, followers will be heavily prioritized once more. And it will stay that way until I've reached Icon level 9,999. At which point, the Icon points will be redistributed accordingly.
Those are the long-terms I've set for my time in TC2. I'm intent on getting them done.
