When you go up SHD levels, you get the increase on all characters, so if you increase 5 SHD levels and have 5 watch points to spend your other character will also get five watch points. I have three characters so I can get three times the SHD Calibration material every time I have points to spend on Scavenging for example. And say if your main character is level 500, once you complete WoNY with your new character he goes straight to SHD level 500 with all those watch points so spend.
Correct

Oh wow. I had no idea this was the case, and that's really helpful to me while my main character waits for a friend who's leveling up so we can go through NY together; the Watch points I earn on my "NY preview" character are not wasted!
To be clear, though, unlike specialization points, once points are allocated on the Watch they cannot be re-allocated, right? Is it normal that people would use different allocations on different characters and switch between the characters in different circumstances?
You just go to him when running low and stock everything up and then go back to your main. Its shared and you will automatically get what ever points your first character generated on his watch at Lv 40 so if you are at LV 1500 on your first character your second character gets 1500 at LV 40.
I decided to delete a Character and redo it all and wow are you way over powered making it very easy but you really only have to do NY lv 30 -40
i just did this to my 2 alts after hitting 5k with my main , now i have more than 10k points to waste on resources , that i dont need because main has 16 god rolled builds already.
I have three but the points are not allocated the same. They are similar but one may have more wd,hazard etc. I am experimenting, is that a bad mistake?
