They are probably waiting for a not so busy hours to apply the fix and that would probably require to restart the servers...doing so at this hour will impact other platforms (xbox, PS4/5)

After yesterday's update, The Division 2 is unplayable. Within 5 minutes of launching, the buzzing sound freezes and the frozen game must crash in the task manager.
PC is unplayable after update due to crashing. Sent my dxdiag and nfo. Hope that helps. Waiting for the fix ...
just roll the patch back till you figure it out
That is an interesting new issue. What do you mean the "buzzing sound" freezes the game? Are you talking about a certain sound within the game (e.g. drone buzzing) or are you literally experiencing "buzzing" from your speakers that isn't associated with normal game sounds?
Yesterday I could play for hours. Ubisoft Connect tried to run some kind of script, which didn't seem to work well, had to say yes six times for it to go away. Like everyone else, I can play for less than five minutes today without a crash. No amount of testing on my end makes a wit of difference. IMO this is clearly server side, some kind of conflict with the launcher that is creating instability that results in a crash. I say crash, but it is only partial, If I wait patiently and listen, I can hear the game audio for a time. The system manages to save my progress, what little there is, so its not a complete crash.
Putting this game on the back burner for a while again, in hopes they figure out what the heck the did. Last time I did that, I didn't pick it up again for over a year.
Good luck.
This issue certainly seems like it is completely server-side. I had zero issues from 8am-5pm EST playing Division 2 and then suddenly the windows/freeze/crashes began around 5pm EST and have continued since. If it was the client-side Uplay Connect application I don't think it would have had zero issues prior to 5pm.
Whatever maintenance was done today.... needs to be rolled back ASAP.
And an update on the status of the investigation would be useful to the user base that has been OFFLINE for hours.
Buzzing from the speakers when the game freezes - non-system sound
It's 5 O'clock somewhere. Seriously. I have a friends list of over 350 players from around the world. There is no 'slow time'.
Reverted Ubisoft Connect application to a previous one, game start and freeze after some minutes. This points to server side issue. Tested with version 10172, current is 10418, prevented onstart upgrade check by edited the version file (easy).
I submitted by report via my gaming laptop, If I experience the same issue on my main gaming desktop system, i'll create another report for that system as well. I assume those DxDiag and NFO reports are helpful.
Ok so it might be golden bullet update fault - server side......thanks ubi...
After the update to ubisoft connect the game is unplayable on all three PC's that we have previously had zero issues with running The Division 2. Have tried numerous fixes from downing the graphics and downloading the newest drivers but it does nothing since it was something in the patch that screwed things up.
The problem is most likely coming from the Ubisoft Connect Update that rolled out today. Its the only thing that changed today.
It's nice to know that all we warrant is a "we're investigating", response. Devoted players, loyal to Ubisoft. I am sure most of us are UPlay subscribers (I am). It's unfortunate. Maybe what I am looking for is more reassurance? I don't know. What I do know is anything would better than that. Maybe a time frame? By now you know the issue is related to the most recent update. The least you can do is roll it back for us so we can play while you fix. Or, change the options and give us the ability to play offline. Something...anything...we don't feel like valued customers.
PC: Game froze for the 6th time in a row within 15min, this time during a skirmish while I was behind cover and sniper distance from the Hyenas. The picture froze and after waiting a solid 60secs I got the "not responding" message. Closed the game in task mgr. After restarting the game it opened on my dead agent with the 'respawn' prompt. Apparently, the game continued after freezing at my end, long enough for the Hyenas to reach and kill my agent.
With my limited network knowledge/experience, it does seem to point to a server-side issue. I've never seen the game open on a dead agent before.
I've been crashing even without playing = literally loaded and tended to my kids, came back the game was frozen.
Another one is started the game, answered a shepherd call, there were 4 of us, one-by-one we disconnected. I was the 3rd person to disconnect.
Ubisoft, you have a HUGE problem right now.
*adding to my point above: I completed the Battery Park daily project earlier this morning (eastern timezone). It was somewhere in the afternoon that I tried playing and it crashed every 3 minutes. This is eastern timezone (New York). Hope this helps.
I was on level 29 doing the beekeeper mission when it started happening. I go into the first area, it freezes. I complete the mission, it freezes. I try to get out of the mission area, it freezes. I get sent to a nearby control point and I try to do a hostage mission, it freezes. I try to change different settings and just roam around the world, it freezes. Hope the devs get a fix out for this soon.
why are ppl still spaming this issue..? we're all in the same boat with disconnects after logging in ^^, take a drink relax ,and let the ppl with the lack of knowledge they got ,fix this
peace ///runken the wellknown
@runken
i'm glad so many reported... maybe and hopefully this will show ubi how much they ****** up and fix this asap

Yea Roger That please fix this whatever you updated unupdate it because I am crashing constantly when before I was fine please fix this issue!
Hey... Me too
Just decided to open and play and had to update... Crash Hang on the GPU. I have to restart, after a time, Frozen, the system is NOT effected it is just the game, and windows error " not responding"..
Have you tried NOT updating and rolling back so people can play and use what they have paid for?>
If the fix takes too long and we end up missing the current Global Event, we need to be given another chance to do it. Maybe consider extending it?
Is it feasible to rollback the update? I'd recommend that if it's possible (moving to second week in the season is less important than game stability).
Ok here's the most obvious issue. My game crashed less frequently on every other mission except for Manning Zoo National. This mission crashed my game every few minutes regardless of what I tried. Disabled DX12, overlay. So let's start your investigation in this particular mission since it's the most prominent and predictable. Thanks.
Going on what 10 hours now with no update from a Dev or from a PR rep!!!??
How about an a status update Ubisoft you have multiple PC games down right now and not a word from the company in a LONG time now.
We know you are working on just give your community and update rather or not you know what the problem is or not just give your player base something already.
I've changed all my graphic settings, turned off everything I can think of and even increased my pagefile size, all to no avail. Please fix this soon!!!
"Uh yeah we're off the clock at 3pm. Do YOU work 24/7? If not then you should understand that. We're people too and don't actually care about you."
Looks like devs rolled back to previous Ubisoft Connect (v10382), but freeze STILL exists.
Yeah, I got excited about the Ubi Connect launcher patching, but then 5 minutes in... Crash. So annoying.Quote:

Still crashing even after the update.
Ya if you reinstall the 10324 ubisoft connect still applies a patch update so something is going on.
The game has a problem. The process thread list is LOOPING. It is spawning new threads, while not closing those that are open. http://www.pandakc.com/~nanook/Divison2.png

the game still crashing for me too (after the luncher update)
