Oh yeah, aqueduct was really hard for me too. I settled with 87 but i guess its 88 now. Nice run
Edit: I decided to improve my run. Just got a really lucky run, with a almost perfect skip to the wooden ramp. Got rank 41, definitely happy with that. :)
And yeah, i dont slide the shortcut. I used a ghost which doesnt slide, its possible to go in the 30s without, but i guess top 20 need a crazy slide.
I think you lost most of your time in beginning actually. Ur shortcut was pretty good even without slide
This game is weird, i just beat ur ghost by 0.1s (not a pb for me) in one attempt...and it just took me 20ish mins to beat my 88...

Thanks Stefan! I’m with you, I totally didn’t have the cleanest start to that 82 run. Pulling that wheelie jump to start the track is an easier way for me to begin that track. When I’m able to cut the top corner I can really push out in front of my ghost. I stumble and lose too much time when I start the track off like you.
I raced your ghost and seeing your approach to the time saver totally made how to make that jump click in my head. I put some solid runs together and kept grabbing even more length out of a normal time saver jump. I moved my way up the leaderboard a handful more times before finally reaching 30. I had a run that may have pushed me into the bottom 20s, but I came in too high at the finish line and crashed...

I went to Market Street to better a 143 rank. This of course is another one of the original tracks you get very early on in the game. It’s a fun track to ride, but was rather difficult for me to break into the top 100 on it. I feel like I lucked into a decent enough run to climb up to 79 and just below your 74 rank Stefan.
Starting this track by bouncing off your front tire so you can quickly flip over the ramp at the first checkpoint with your back tire was hard. There’s a couple of ways to attack the climb back up and I went with a shorter jump to use the little belly to build more speed and momentum up the rest of the climb. I saw you pushed much higher with a bigger jump. I’m not sure which way is better, but that last big circular hurdle before the finish line trips me up as well.
Onto the next one.
Up for Barrel Chase?

Nice job in the aqueduct improvement!
Barrel Chase sounds fine by me.

Barrel Chase was very difficult for me. It took me a very long time to get the top 100 and I eventually settled with a 79.
I could not...absolutely not figure out a consistent way, to hit both wheels at the end. This is what caused my time to be only a 79. If you race my ghost, you will probably notice, that it pulls really far ahead until the last checkpoint. This is because i nailed the first big shortcut after the elevator. The trick here, in case you havent noticed, is to do a wheelie on the elevator and accelerate with as much grip as possible to he as fast as possible. The longer your rear wheel has contact to the ground, the faster you go and the better the shortcut. Thats why a wheelie is needed, else the front wheel clips the wall and the effective acceleration distance is much shorter. Also one more minor thing. Not sure how much it helps, but... if u do a flip mid air, you can gain some momentum. This can be used for the landing, if only your front wheel is able to clear the gap. That way you are leaning forward already mid air and if timed perfectly, it can get you pretty fast to the ramp. This is really hard tho and I only got one run, where I had enough speed to get my front wheel over the 2nd rope bridge.
Edit:
I decided to give it a few more goes. After all...once you hit the shortcut once, usually its easier to hit it again, as you know the trick. And that was very true. I have hit it multiple times now and just got the shortcut even cleaner with a 30 run! :) I still screwed the ending. As you can see, with that shortcut, that i did, I could probably be in top 20, maybe even top 10, if i cleanup the last part, but im fine with 30. I think id have to hit the first shortcut like 50 times to get that, and its not worth the time.
One last trick. For the elevator. Go as far back as possible, start accelerating at about the height of the second horizontal beam. It should be the perfect spot give or take a few pixels etc. This map is all about muscle memory! You got this.
Oh and the flip is only needed, if ur too low to clear the gap with front wheel. See...if you can get your front wheel on the platform, but the rear wheel is too far down, it will hit the ramp. (By doing the flip right before hitting, there is of course a risk of a crash, but it increases the chance of making the jump, of course its not needed, but for me it helped get the time more consistent and yeah, i did see others use it too). If u compensate for that, then you need to angle the bike further, which moves rear wheel up, but the front wheel is too far down and cant hit the platform (simply geometry). (I wasnt sure basically, if i could clear the gap without the momentum trick so I did it every time, Im pretty sure my current ghost couldnt have hit the shortcut at all without it)

Stefan, you crushed this track, well done! Thanks for the info, I’ll see if I can get a better run and crack the top 100 with your tips. I played earlier today and quickly moved from 250 to 108. I’ve been stuck there since and just haven’t been able to improve upon that now 109 rank. I was impressed with the way you attacked the roof between the 5th and 6th checkpoint. You killed that part and kept low to push through to the wheels. All of my attempts have pushed me too high there.
I’ve some improvements to make on this track, so I’ll keep at it!
I noticed the Bunker was broke again. ☹️

Well, I haven’t been able to climb up as high on the leaderboard as you launched up it Stefan with your killer run. Congrats on that finish you had again!
That was a tough one. I grinded off and an for most of an hour using the wrong approach to the elevator. I kept leaning forward as I was moving to the back of the lift in preparation for the wheelie jump off of that elevator lift... I just couldn’t get any distance off that darn thing until I realized what I was doing wrong.
Once I fixed that mistake, I quickly jumped from 109 to 69. I still think my 109 run had the best elevator launch of all my runs today. I improved the back half on another run shortly after and climbed up a little more finishing at 61.
If I hope to climb any higher, I need to clean up the elevator launch for sure and that roof hurdle before the two spinning wheels as well. I think I’m capable of making some more improvements and may have already did it if I didn’t waste so much time messing up the elevator altogether...
Onto the next one.

I just cleaned up sewage treatment. I’ve always liked this map because there’s a few different ways to attack it. I didn’t hit the impossible time saver on this track, but was able to do enough to break into the top 100. I climbed my way up from 132 to 103 with.
I cleaned up some things after racing random ghosts ahead of me and switching back to my ghost to practice some of things I picked up. I will more times than not race other ghosts to see their approach to sequences that perplex me. I go back to my ghost to put what I learned into action.
I ran out of fuel this time around and had to stop grinding. I found myself in a little groove, so I wish I could have made a few more attempts at bettering the last rank I achieved, 51.
I may jump in for a few more attempts to see if I can better that, but won’t spend a ton more time before moving to another track. I have many more top 100s that I want to break into.
Onto the next one.

Cant you just use infinite fuel once you run out? Ingot tons of those saved up. And even then, there is still the old date change trick, which works if done right, but I havent used that in ages, because bunker spams you with free fuel boosters.
I got 61 of those
200 magnets
and almost 300 donuts...and I didnt play every bunker season
-
Haha, yeah I could have used an unlimited fuel, I actually forgot about them, lol. I have 128 of them... I just used the welcomed break to put my iPad down. I have 552 donuts and 1737 double coins as well.
