So why does Ubisoft need 3hrs of maintenance every week?, I worked for a Global Bank and we never shut down the server farm yet U is oft feels they have to do it each week, let’s hope it stays at 3 and not like last week’s fiasco

Obviously your Global bank doesn't host several different game brands on their server farm :confused:
And most likely the GB does backups after work ends right?
Ahhh, the memories.
All that time ago when I would get up on a day off and not be able to play because of the unbelievable weekly maintenance in a game that has more maintenance in a month than most games have in a lifetime.
And here we are again, most of my life has changed and yet having returned less than 2 weeks ago it's as if I have never been away. The more things change the more they stay the same.
Division 2 - sorry, it isn't convenient for you to play this game when you want to, come back when we say you can.
It's the problem with games-as-a-service.
No service is given to the customer, it's all for the developer that avoids pirate copies being sold, only to find out they have to give away their own game for 3$ because nobody wants to buy it...
GaaS is the a plague for the gaming industry, right after the cancer of mobile games.
Nah, it’s only a Major high street bank with trading platforms, etc on a global basis with 7 global server farms, and yes backups are done but the servers are never taken down
