1st: since we all know that this game is quite old now, any news on offline mode or what's going to happen if servers get shut down?
2nd: survival DLC, is it playable solo?, by solo I mean, it doesn't need like 10 players for it to start.

To clarify what Knightghostbear is saying regarding the question about Survival solo. You CAN start the session and run it solo and may be placed in a session with no one else in it. However, you cannot CHOOSE to be the only one in it. Just depends on which mode you choose and if anyone else queues up for the game.
There are a couple of options when you go to start a game of Survival. One option which I think is called Matchmaking tries to group you up and can take a while. I do not believe this method has a queue timer.
The other option, you can enter the queue as a solo player or with an existing group. Once you launch the game mode, it waits no longer than 6 minutes before it will go ahead and start that "server instance" no matter how many people have also queued up for it. If no others did queue up for it, then you'll have the whole map to yourself.
My absolute favorite time to run survival is when I am the only one in there. It adds to the suspense and honestly, feels to me like what Survival should feel like. The benefit is that it gives you all the materials you can find and you aren't competing with other agents for supplies. But, the down-side is if you go down and have no med kits, there is no one that can come to your rescue. You didn't survive and it is game over.
thank you for the answers, happy holidays people!
