Been saying that for god knows how long now......besides it's a bit late for that now.
It is the game of greed , no loot worth keeping , open world drops lots of purple but now and then a good drop on heroic , forget about challenge or hard .. summit is a joke 99% loot is set at 3.5% - 5% .
DZ i have no idea as i stopped going there when they contaminated all loot ,
It is a game of no loot and that means no progression , Why do i play ? any better on other platforms ?. on pc here ..
Took me 2000 Hours and 85,000 Items to get a Providence Chest with max weapon damage and max crit something and focus that i could roll the 3rd attribute on. Still looking for that godly ceska holster though...
I got a full maxed sig 556 on hard the other day, and the 350th rainbow rolled sacrifice on legendary summit.
Your mileage may vary.
The loot quality is really bad since 2 weeks.
It's once again a rainbow loot festival, at least 30/40 of my armore pieces are rainbow loot.
I got in a weeks at least 5 items triple God Roll but Rainbow loot so just trash/crap loot.
80% of my loot are with 2 or 3 different colors...
stats on attributes are mediocre or crap 95% of the time with stats around 50/60%
I'm playing on heroic with directives or legendary.
Legendary doesn't improve that much the quality loot compare to heroic btw...
As always, Massive claim that they fix something, one step forward but after 2 weeks to see that all problems are back ...
I've noticed that the game's idea of random is that some players get stuff and other players get nothing. This franchise HAS to put some kind of bad luck modifiers in their games in the future. Every 100th drop should be a genuinely good piece. For everybody. Not a 1 in 100 chance but an actual 1 in 100 guarantee.
There's the recalibration station, and coming soon the optimization station.
Granted, both those should have been in the game from the beginning, IMO. But there's also this misconception that a piece of gear MUST be perfect god-rolled to be useful. Which is outright not true. That's the nature of looters: You use the best you have until you find better.
But we're actually kind of lucky in The Division, because there's a personal skill aspect to the game. Even if you don't have perfect loot, you can get a LOT done by sheer gamer ability.
Citation needed. No dev has commented on changes to loot quality since TU11.
That's how it's supposed to work (which is different from whether it feels rewarding)

I've noticed people who dump on the game are more likely to get bad loot. Perhaps they should try saying something positive about it more often :nonchalance:
