Ps5 camera not supported. Requesting refund.
I posted this in another thread in the general discussion area, but I decided it might be more effective posted in here, as UBISOFT staffers are likely monitoring this board more frequently.
I just purchased JD 2021 on PS5, thinking the PS5 camera would work with it. Paid $40 for a five year old sobbing in tears, and a frustrated and unimpressed mom.
In my opinion, the description in the PSN store classifies as false advertising. It says you can now play using the phone app, but doesn't say that the app is the ONLY way to play. Is this an UBISOFT issue or a PLAYSTATION ISSUE? Deceptive advertising... seems to me like both parties are responsible. UBISOFT would have authored the write up and SONY PLAYSTATION would have approved it and posted it.
I now have a game that is not playable in my house, unless I give my five-year old my cell phone, which will likely end up getting tossed across the room. This is absolutely ridiculous. According to playstations return policy, I am ineligible for a refund because I have already downloaded the game to my PS5. Sony has been in trouble with consumer protection law before. They just had a court case decided against them in Australian in June of 2020.
Of course its Saturday night, so now I have to wait until Monday to get an actual human on the phone to try and sort this out with. My only option is to try and get a sony rep on the phone and get them to see it as false advertising or faulty game (which in my opinion it is both!).
UBISOFT, I am blow away. Is your team sorting this out? Are you offering refunds?
UBISOFT, you could fix this for me right now, as I also own an xbox one x; I would be more than happy with a voucher to get JD 2021 free of charge for XBOX ONE X, so at least my kid can play it using our kinect/adaptor.
Maybe a public service announcement is in order, so you don't lose the faith of more customers.
Signed,
One very disappointed mother
