How do you get grenade launcher parts? To upgrade the grenade launcher with, I have never see them before.
Usually they are dropped by the rocket launcher guy.
With the weapon on the ground, press Y or triangle to disassemble it and you'll get the parts, but if you pick up the launcher you wont be able to (Unless in the tiered loot mode).
If you are already carrying the launcher in the immersive mode, anyone who dropes a GL, you won't have the option to destroy it for parts, because you'll pick up as ammo.
Buy a GL from Blueprint in shop and then dismantle it for parts.
If you have gear score on and you pick up a grenade launcher just dismantle it for parts. If you’re in immersive mode as you play you will encounter enemies that will sometimes give them to you at random, rocket launcher enemies normally have them, and you can also get them from drones. If you have drones turned off this increases your chances of getting GL parts at random.
You can also get them from convoys in either mode.
Another method... since there isn’t a big need for GL parts you can switch gear score on buy as many GLs as you need to dismantle for the parts you need and switch back to immersive.
On average you can find around 19 gold nuggets... and some opal and salt peter very quickly by circling fortune lake in northeastern silent mountain that sell for 250 skell credits a piece if you’re hurting for credits to do this or just want to increase your credits quickly.
Thats so strange... I have had over 3 Million credits according to the stats on my player profile but I'm always out of money... either buying everything from Maria (like every thing) and lately I'm playing gear score again so optimizing weapons. I make a lot more cash playing Gear Score, but if you want to roll your preferred weapons it can take $100K to get the ideal stats.
I'm tellin' you - set some in-game rules - there's no Skell Credits just laying about in the world at "ancient ruins" - there are however precious stones and metals however - you collect hem in order for Maria to sell you stuff ... just an idea ...
I think there’s a few ways to treat the cash and store in this game...
1. Take it at face value... you find Skreds or stuff worth Skreds and give that to Maria in exchange for gear you want (the Skreds in crates could be gold, artifacts, or whatever you want it to be, it doesn’t matter)
2. A variation on #1 is that you build up good will (measured in credits) that you can use to obtain stuff from the Homesteaders, but you don’t actually pay for anything
3. Treat Maria’s store as a battle pass or rewards system... instead of getting a new piece of gear for clearing a base or something, you get, points, credits, etc. you can exchange for “rewards” you want... similar to the prestige point system in Wildlands, except instead of random gear, you get to choose. You can assume your character obtained whatever you choose as a result of their last op.
4. Ignore the store completely and only use it to buy the gear necessary to equip your character as they would start the game and not use it otherwise
I’ve used the store in all these ways in various play throughs. My current character doesn’t know about Erorrwhon so I’m using it as in #4 (from a character perspective)... if I switch up his gear, it’s assumed he got it from an enemy or a base or facility... not from a store. And as a player... I’m trying to unlock/buy all stuff in the game as per #3.
Sorry... way off topic. To the OP... switch to Gear Scoremode temporarily and profit. ;)
