I think other small changes are okay.

This is multiple choices. Are you not optimistic about the future of the game?

The optimization station is the surefire sign of the end of the game.
Meaning, this is bad news for those wanting Division 2 to continue to gain content updates.
It's the same answer for this as it was for transmog. You may not want it, but lots of other people have been asking for it

Having said that, I would have preferred new playable content.
I would appreciate new content (like Warlords), and something like curated weapons and gear.
Regarding optimization, some people really want him, but since the beginning of the game, the people who oppose it are always greater than those who support it.
It is even said that everyone always wants new content, and TD2 officials are obsessed with the systems they created in different TD1s and try to balance them. (TU1~TU11)
Ignore what the player wants many times.
So I want to see the vote. Because most of the players who are still on the forum know this game better.
The basic attitude is that optimization is easy, but it is difficult to design new content.
The official view of the service for those players who have already purchased and received money.
Maybe someone is right, they are raising the white flag.
Because I guess the proportion of optimization requirements may account for less than 3% of all players.
(About the dropped items:
As far as I personally observe for a long time, most of the players ask to reduce the RNG impact, and the reward drop items that meet the difficulty of the game
These are the official attempts at the later stage of the game and are willing to slowly adjust according to the player's requirements)
I won't complain about qol updates that are coming, but yeah i think they are just gonna drop this, polish and bug fix other stuff while TU12 lasts and then go on theri way to do something else
yep, optimization station ='s game over for the most part. I dont really see the need to add yet another 4 types of resources but whatever, i get it but it would of been nice to just use some of things we have collected over the games lifespan that have literally no use in the game instead but whatever.
But in this discussion, if the official statement is correct, they will read the player's reaction.
It is also possible to make a feedback to the official. After all, there is a lot of loss of player groups. It is a bit difficult to make a questionnaire on the real needs of players in this series, no matter which forum it is.
(In the early and mid-term, the management team would also try to send questionnaires to the user mailbox to fill in the player, and investigate the player's reaction. Later, even PTS stopped for a while.)
I get the new recourses. If they went with stuff that players already have, most old timers could optimize everything they have, today. I pretty much did that in TD1 but most of my builds were near perfect anyway.
I haven't seen the SOTG. Might have to look for a summary.
Yep, thats why i said " i get it" but i dont have to like it!!! :)
Here is the info for it.

HOW hard is add more difficulty for Classified Assignments (all players want it)or more Legendary strongholds , lazy lazy devs
Optimization station means that you will be maxed out. Which means, no race for the gear.
So TD 2 is over this year (2021 January).
I'm sad. I wanted to see at least year 3 content. I wanted The Division 2 to be a Desteny 2 analogy :(
Yes, this IS what I want.
This isn't a dooms day thing for those acting like it either. Sure, D3 is in development in some capacity already, but they will continue to update D2 for another 6-12 months I bet.
Those asking for new content, within the 20 months or so post launch, we got:
Manning Zoo
Camp White Oak
Kenly College
Pentagon/DARPA
Coney Island/Ball Park
Classified Missions
Warlords of New York
Dark Hours
Iron Horse
The Summit
Don't get me wrong, I want more also, but how much faster do you expect more "new" content to release?
Games like this have an average 3 year life cycle. Borderlands 2 never got content post 19 months after launch and they never intended to make that much. Destiny 1 was bit longer, but it was also the most successful Activision launch ever and had content release a bit less than 3 years (30 months).
We ALL want new content, but there are multiple teams working on the game and not all of them focus on new content. Additionally, developers don't like to talk about future content until it's ready to show/publicly announce.
Some times this community drives me crazy!! ;) LOL
Division 3 just around the corner.
March 2021 for next gen.
Iv'e put up all the signs for a while and this is another.
What do i think of the Optimization station, well it is what it is, 90% of the playerbase is already maxed out/up so in reality the optimization station changes virtually nothing.
I mean heck people are doing the hardest content Without optimized builds so therefore (what difference will having this station make?) none really.
As for the game will be dead (isn't it dead already) thats what people have been banging on for a year and a half, the game is done/dead.
Deep down i get the feeling the complaints are from those who already have fully optimized builds and are now going to do the old (I worked for my gear others shouldn't be able to optimize theirs because they haven't worked for it) Who gives a fk.
Personally i don't care if its in or not (i can do all Heroic content without a fully optimized build) so having it makes no difference to me.
To be honest i don't know but hey anything is possible . (most of my posts pertaining to Div 3 i say i may be totally wrong) anyway.
One other thing Now with this opti station and lack od new content (can you see this game being supported and added to all the way up to March 2022, (i can't)
This is my thinking as well. The DZ is the pits and they cant make these small zones interesting no matter what they add and knowing that the DZ is basically the end game for this title then why waste more time and resources on TD2 when they cant make the DZ much if any better because of its current design. Im guessing the DZ in TD3 will be a monster sized zone that can actually give you the feels like in TD1, something they have never replicated in this game.
The optimization station in The Division 1 was introduced in the final stages of the games life cycle. I think we might be seeing a similar situation when it comes to The Division 2. Probably no year three.
I'm happy to be getting the optim station, also after some thought I feel we need Division 3 as most of the things in Div 2 excluding the open world and Summit i've done a million times and don't really want to do again. I hope DIvision 3 isn't far away.
All I heard them mention was one stat so it's not like division1 at all
I think instead of optimization they should just make it where we could recalibrate everything on a gear piece, and make it where once a stats is use out of the recalibration library it is used and to have to find another one.
That's how it should be, so even gear u dont need with a max stat would still be worth saving, plus the ability to recalibrate everything would take the need of optimization away, and be a way for players to put exactly what stats and talent combination they want, I know I would much rather grinding for max stats and talent than the gear with exactly what I want, I get a piece with a max stat now that just gets junked cause theres no use for it, I get gear that has god rolled stats that works to make the build it want, but not the exact stats I would like.
Yes, this is what I want.
I have way too many items at 99% rolls and it's painful hunting for the full godroll upgrades.
At least with optimization I will get a sense of progress again. I still enjoy the core gameplay but without this it feels like I'm working towards nothing.
its not a only good change , because now wil lbe iven easier ,
Division 1 and Division 2 - always the same scenario - nerf waepons , builds , nerf dificulty -because players they are not doing very well
Its not goo solution - 2 - divsion games will be dead
