Rainbow Six & For Honor getting 60fps but nothing for TD2.....strange considering how old they are.
Which points towards a Brand new The Division 3 on next gen. (in my opinion)
I mentioned this before i cannot see TD2 being updated/more content created/added all the way up until March 2022 not with a new generation of consoles around the corner, and the fact the Price of games are going from £50 to £60 upto £70 to £80 for the next gen.
March has been the release date for Each of the Division games, i still think a Div 3 is coming soon (they started working on Div 2 as the first game released) and with Next gen Dev kits being available for quite a while to companies my bet is Div 3 has about 5 months worth left to finish ready for March 2021. (they can go up in terms of new content but with 2 games already under their belt they have alot of game assets ready to use for a third game.
People will buy new consoles and buy the new next gen Games for them (no matter the Price and how good or bad the previous game is/was)
And a Disclaimer from me.
I'm probably totally wrong) and in no way saying above will happen (Guess work from me), they may keep updating Div 2 for another year and five months all the way up until March 2022, but if you look at it (For Profit) which is what businesses do then a brand new game on a more expensive console with a higher price for the game looks more appealing than just updating a current old one thats ran it's path.
Alot of signs do point towards a new game. (in my opinion)
If you look at it this way as well then somethings make alot more sense (but again this is my guess work) and in no way truth or going to happen as far as i know.
We are entering season 4 (The Final stretch) with the Last Manhunt (FL) by all accounts, the seasons last 4 months March next year is 5 months away, so to wrap up the last two games and the stories within (and the reveal at the end of WoNY) with you know who, then it makes sense.
Finish the story wev'e had accumulating in (FL), then start fresh with a new game/new story new Destination
Not really, both of those are massive e-sports games.
Anyhow, want higher framerates? Buy a new video card :nonchalance:
Video cards are Non change-able on Console's (can't be changed) The OP plays on X Box (i think)
PC it's a given with interchangable Hardware, Consoles are not (Bar HD's/SSD's) everything is locked in place and non change-able. As far as i know.
At this moment in time.
Even the blindingly fast SSD on the PS5 is non change-able it's fixed to the Motherboard along with it's custom controller and other components.
The way the games industry works is that sequel development already starts near (and a lot of the times even before) the launch of the first title. So, IF TD3 development ever started, it was on or slightly before the release of TD2 (March 2019).
But there are a few unresolved questions:
1. Was TD3 development started at all?
2. If it was started, was it then never delayed and/or cancelled? E.g. were the positive reviews and sales of TD2 at launch along with earnings of TD1 enough to cover development of a TD3? Impact of Covid and other titles?
3. It took them three years from the release of TD to release TD2, is it safe to assume a new release is up after two years already, especially given recent negative feedback on the current title?
Depending on the answers of those questions there's going to be a TD3 next year, a TD3 later or no TD3 at all. Personally I think there will be a TD3, but it will not be out next year unless they already poured a massive amount of extra dev capacity in (which I doubt).
I doubt there will be a significant update for TD2 (maybe another few seasons), but I'd like to be proven wrong on that. :)
Right now there is a free position (with multiple other ones) in jobs at ME for an "Unannonced Project" as an Assotiate Producer.
Jobs - Massive
The domain thedivision3.com is also already registrerd by Ubisoft. Whatever, I just hope they "finish" - for their own integrity, what they started with The Division 2 before they release another Beta.
