How about we hold companys that take our money and promise something accountable for their mistakes, shocking concept i know. Demand compensation

People don't like to think but rather to complain. So much optimism.... Extended maintenance is always good, it means they want to implement new content, fixes properly. Would you like rather, if they did nothing and your game wouldn't start at all? By the way if you hate Ubi games that much, why are you still here?
It's an always online games as a service. People have a right to complain when they can't play it. If the studio shuts down overnight you lose your game. So in this case it's justified.

I doubt for 1 minute they will give anyone anything like coins, they're not going let you get the new gear in store for free or a reduced price.
