Ubi/Massive: Time to listen to your playerbase voices

At this point it's obvious that it's just lies and apathy over and over. They just don't get it and don't care what we want.

To be honest i'm now numb to it all, i never pick any loot up or even look at it now, i just shoot some sht up for an hour then go and play a more rewarding looter shooter/RPG/lite game.
Gone from 4 hours a day to 1 hour every 2 days playtime. (i just can't be bothered with the endless grind that results in nothing)
I just wish the devs would come out and say either.
They can't remove Rainbows
Don't want to remove Rainbows
Afraid people will get too powerful full stop
Afraid people will get powerful too quickly
Or is it a bug/glitch etc etc.
Or something else

This is one of the key things. Testing is clearly not being done effectively. If it was then many of these issues would have been spotted and dealt with long before they saw the light of day in the live game. And yes we all know the devs are working from home - so am I and I manage to get my work done and collaborate with team mates - so thats not really an excuse.
Having a PTS is a great way for the player base to sample whats coming up but really it should be called a Public TRIAL Server because expecting your end users to perform testing for you because you didn't do it properly is unacceptable.
There will always be the odd "oh, we didn't think of that, sorry" moments, and bugs (or unintentioned mechanics) will of course creep into the live game - just as with any software - but these should be the exception rather than the rule.

Yep its very sad ...... Truly no point in PTS,s peps just wasting time trying to help them cos they don,t listen or seem to care about anything but the new Raid ......

Pretty much this. Asking the community to do the work you should have done is despicable. To then proceed and ignore most of the complaints is just disgusting. I've been around for multiple PTS-es, and yes, I also started out motivated and naive, thinking that if I spend time on the PTS it will actually improve the game. Well, no more.
These devs just don't get it. After spending almost a decade, they still don't know. It's not going to change without major changes in the organisation.
Players: loot is bad, please fix
Devs: let's nerf some popular build combos
Players: please don't nerf builds in PVE because of some imbalance in PVP
Devs: nerf some more combos into the ground
Players: maybe it's a good idea to have separate PVP sets so you can tune them without affecting PVE and vice versa
Devs: nerf some combos into the ground
Players: skills really suck, can you fix
Devs: Spend a full dev cycle reworking skills, actually doing a good job
Players: thank you! But maybe it's a bit too powerful now, maybe tweak it down a little
Devs: Release update that completely undoes their previous work.
Players: .....
Players: This M1A is good, but might be a bit too OP
Devs: nerfs it into the ground
Players: Errrm, it wasn't that OP
Devs: ok, let's undo
Players: alright let's try that again
Devs: nerf other rifles because *theoretical* damage is too high, completely ignoring *real ingame* damage.
Players: ...

And thats the thing i'd give respect or more positives towards a dev that comes out and admits they were wrong etc etc etc, than one keeping things to themselves.
I Watched the Bungie team do their live stream, and the lead Luke smith halfway through came out and said (We've made mistakes we were wrong and You can put that all on me ) and things are changing and going to change.
Now i'm not saying they are saints and have the best game, infact it's been a sht show and they have deserved their hate/bashing etc etc etc, but when a dev/lead comes out and publically says so and apologizes live on stream then i will give that respect.
Where am i putting my future money ATM on Destiny 2 for the new DLC, and certainly not the Premium track in this game. (will i regret it no, but i run the risk of the DLC not being great and that'll be down to me.) but because of said public apology then i'll give something to them.

This is what you get when you change a Finished game by design pre TU8 and just change the whole fundamentals of the character build when it wasn’t broke to begin with.
Simply put Massive broke the game lol and now they are having MASSIVE hard time to fix it.
Good use of the word MASSIVE!
Would be MASSIVE failure.
