Rather than be on forums trying to figure out how to bite back at Ubisoft, I would recommend ya'all just take some time to think about this....
During a global pandemic, people had to take time away from their family to mine through server data to examine your online behavior. Instead of fixing problems or progressing the game in any way, you caused the entire company to have to put the brakes on and focus only on the damage you all caused. During a global pandemic. You caused them to have to work very long hours, and risk several unplanned emergency maintenance windows, and deploy patches that couldn't have possibly gone through a proper test cycle. And yes, you have caused them to engage attorney's to examine the terms of service, their findings, and the sanctions to ensure that legally it is within their rights. ALl of this because some people thought it would be OK to cheat at a videogame.
Is this something you are particularly proud of?
Look, everyone screws up. I am not holier than thou. I can certainly think of a few times in my life that I was less than proud of my own behavior. Though, I've never cheated at a videogame, just to be clear. But boy do I wish I could look back and say the worst mistake I ever made was cheating at a videogame.
"B.b.b.b.ut the game let me do it! That makes it OK"
Yes, it is on massive that the holes in the game went to production. There are many instances where we can see they did not code defensively. They aren't off the hook just because you all are.
But your part in this is on you. A week off from the game is not the end of the world. And a rollback to the 17th, while that may seem to you to be unfair, it is what it is. I suppose that you might have thought about the possibility of a rollback when you decided to use the glitch.
Now for me, I didn't glitch because it is just built into my moral code. But those that don't have that moral code, they can't just see it as wrong. Not their fault really, they are just wired a little different.
Well, now we all know that if there is a glitch in the game that seems to be a gold mine for progressing your character or farming loot, if you use that you might be wasting your time and then some.
Call it a teaching moment and move on. It is normal and natural to react with denial of any wrongdoing and trying to blame the other party.
