Dear Ubisoft, I used the glitch
Hello,
I see there are a lot of people angry with those of us who used the glitch. I just want to talk about it real quick.
Quick note: I didn't use it against other players. Only in PVE.
1st - I've been playing The Division like a full-time job for the last 2 1/2 years and love the game. This is the first time I've used an exploit in the game. I used it to get the new exotic (The Big Horn), clothes, and backpack trophy from the Legendary missions. It was hilarious, but I was also confused... we played that legendary over & over for hours and 99.5% of the loot was garbage and the mission was still difficult. There's absolutely no reason to ever play the legendaries except to brag. In the first game, once a week, you would reward us with an exotic cache per legendary mission. Sometimes we could even get exotic gear pieces to drop from the legendary boss or for completing the mission. You get very close to nothing from legendaries in this game.
2nd - I wanted to use the boss farm glitch yesterday but it was already patched. I wanted to use it for the Lady Death. I personally believe the world boss farm took a huge nosedive since the first game. I loved going on a route around the world to farm the 14 or so bosses. There was a chance for Exotic/Classified gear and it was fun running around the entire map for these bosses. I didn't mind the respawn timer since I was allowed to kill all bosses then run a mission & come back. Now... now I have to set a timer on my phone for 30 minutes with EACH boss kill. Because of this... there's no reason to go to the other bosses around the world. I go to the same location every time because it's convenient. But 30 minutes between each boss is ridiculous. It was 1 hour in the first game, but I got to farm all the bosses; that was fine with me.
3rd - I understand player's concerns about the loot glitchers received being used in conflict. It wouldn't be a concern if normalization worked the same as it did in last stand or skirmish in the first game. EVERYONE would have max rolled stats.
In a lot of respects the first game (in the end) is better than Division 2. There was definitely improvement in content, but no improvement in execution or existing methods. Unnecessary changes were made to things that weren't broken.
In conclusion, if you feel you need to ban me for using a cheat without a "game genie" or "gameshark" or going to cheatcc.com, then so be it. I'll be upset because, despite my complaints, the division is still my favorite game, but just like everything else, I'll move on.
If it makes you feel better, I felt extremely cheated preordering & purchasing the Ultimate Edition on good faith just to be backhanded in the face afterward.
Ps. Now that world difficulty can be changed, you need to add target loot or something to classified missions. I've played each once... there's no reason to return.
Overall the game is great.
