Shinies dont work anymore, Massive
Not sure if you and Ubi got the memo, but, you can put lipstick on a pig and it's still just a pig.
Gamers today are not just kids playing all night because their parents shove them in front of a TV so they don't have to deal with them. The demographic today spans ALL age groups. I know people in their 50s and 60s that still play. Gaming is one of the, if not the biggest forms of entertainment mediums on the planet. With that comes variances from the traditional "norms".
What you devs and publishers don't seem to understand, is that adults who have been gaming this long are not fooled by bright new shiny gimmicks designed to cover up the fact there is no substance.
Warlords of New York, and the rest of the game looks fantastic, amazing even. BUT, and this is a big but, all it appears to be some fancy wrapping paper with a piece of coal inside.
We've been here before, seen it, wasted our money on it, and regretted our purchase time and time again over the years. We are TIRED of it.
Start releasing finished products, quit pandering to the meta freaks and boobtube crew, and start making games designed to please a specific portion of the gaming community. You can't please everyone, but it's just stupid to piss off huge portions of customers to stay "hipster".
Hope you've learned your lesson. Next time, drop the lipstick and just make bacon. Bacon is a sure thing.
