This entire launch, from the moronic gear changes to the relentless bugs and glitches, has been nothing but an unmitigated clusterfuck.
How do the devs justify what a complete mess this update has been?

I think they already got the feedback as moderators are replying to threads now. The game now is what it is so get on with it. Checkout if you get back any of the interesting features in next patch.
The only thing that's a complete mess right now is this forum.
playing Division 2 is more pain than fun these days, **** Ubisoft.
Considering the size of the game and the amount of math involved and the layers of interaction and result finding and players and databases and checks and security demands and probably the amount of people involved in creating this game (even if some bugs exist, it's still an impressive piece of combining really awesome artwork, soundwork and code into a game)...
I think the devs should be proud and not let the loew percent of vocal negative feedbacks distract them from having achieved a quite amazing product.
Could there be less bugs? sure. But that takes time and reports and reproduction and finding them and fixing them without breaking anything on the players side in the procces.
As a requirements- and software-engineer, solution-architect myself, I can only imagine the backlog that was tackled on this project and the coordination required to build it... I am impressed with it. Deeply.
Now fix the bugs! :D
