An idea about a future "bike"
So I absolutely love the Crawler. I know it gets some hate, but it's actually a really good vehicle on a number of tracks and it's stability allows it to handle the dreaded MP fast forward better than any other bike. The only thing that brings it down is it's weight. It's my belief that if it had been light enough to make the Canyon Crash jump, it would of made more records than the Scarab has. What I think would be a really cool thing is if we had a "Mantis" version of the Crawler. You know, something a little lighter and with a little more bounce. Something capable of pulling a wheelie without having to abruptly change directions. Maybe even capable of completing all the hard tracks and a couple extremes. As of now the Crawler can do a couple hard tracks (I've made it thru Venice Beach 1080 and Shanghai Scrapers in mp), but it really struggles with anything that requires a big hop and round objects. I'm sure there's a fine line when setting the parameters of any new bike, as to keep things fair, but I think it can be done without coming close to being better than the Mantis for the harder tracks. Besides, I wouldn't want it to lose that Crawler feel, as that what makes it so fun to use. :)
