Better melee combat for future FCs
The animations for swinging any weapon in close combat is horrible and clunky as ****. Primary problem being the strike doesnt hit where you aim. The power strike even forces you into a lunge which absolutely destroys the direction you were aiming to strike for.
Future FC melee should enable combining seemless sparring animations with seemless melee weapon animations.

Noticed that auto-aim for gamepads is global and if disabled gets reenabled when game is restarted. This is what messes up the melee combat for me. That disabled, the melee combat is decent.
However... knock down effect is annoying and overly simplified. A timed block or counter attack should let you avoid knockdowns with any weapon in hand. OR, the knockdowns should be removed completely- I suppose for FC6.
