[FEEDBACK] General Feedback from about 5 hours in the Beta
Some general thoughts and feedback:
- The game can be completed at the start. If you get lucky with RNG; Walker can be shot as he is heading towards his helicopter.
- Backpacks in particular appear to be hanging very loosely on the Operators
- The loot shooter mechanic is not a good fit for this game. Weapons should be far more rare, just having weapons rain down upon you takes away any satisfaction of getting one since you know you will not be keeping it. I liked Wildlands more - where you had to find out where the weapon was tough Intel.
- The investigation mechanic is nice but the UI is too clunky. If we get new intel, give us a prompt to go to the relevant intel at once.
- Glad you added the No Backpack option.
- It seems like the only way to run with a single weapon is to never equip a second one. This is not acceptable. Make it possible to unequip both primary weapons WITHOUT affecting the Gearscore you insisted to put in this game.
- The HK 416 Shorty is an abomination. Call it "416 California" because that is what it is. Then add the HK 416C and call it 416 Shorty.
- Expand upon the Gunsmith, add Stock and Barrel Options.
- Nomad figure should be unlocked from the start.
- Nomads female voice actor is much better this time around.
- More cosmetics unlocked at the start of the game.
- Add ability to disable other players in the main bases. It ruins the immersion of being "sole ghost stranded".
- Classes worked well in Wildlands because you restricted the weapons meaning Snipers could NOT switch to a AR to compensate for the rifle. Here, it is rendered meaningless. Preferably, restrict the entire game so a player only carries a single long gun at a time.
- Injuries does not affect gameplay as much as they should. Usually, Nomad can just shrug off pretty much everything and auto-healing does the rest. I never been incapacitated in a firefight.
- Restore the Technical Test Alpha Intro. It was long, it was annoying but it was perfect in setting the scene.
- Lastly, be consistent how you apply user feedback. You have done a great job so far applying feedback and giving us stuff we requested. But why must you take steps backwards with the looter shooter mechanics? Why are we still highly encouraged to run around with two guns? I know you can do better. So please do.
