I do find it a bit bizarre if we're comparing to other shooters that also have multiplayer. The single player crowd will never touch multiplayer and they think it's tacked on, they believe Far Cry is only meant for single player. Since Far Cry Instincts, there are many that only play Far Cry only for its multiplayer. It surprises me when someone who designs maps for multiplayer didn't even know anything about the story, and he played Far Cry for more than a decade. Games like Halo, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Gears of War, Doom, Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, etc also have single player and multiplayer, and they also have two different crowds. But they don't have this completely divided attitude toward those series when compared to Far Cry. Those that only play these games for its single player didn't really have that much of an opposing attitude towards multiplayer, and vice versa. They know these games have developed its reputation for both single player and multiplayer. Maybe not Battlefield, but not to the extent like Far Cry's. I don't find your statements baffling at all, what I find baffling is how there are these two large crowds with their own separate views of what Far Cry is.
Anyways, I'll add the health segments to the wishlist. I don't mind what kind of heath system Ubisoft would put in place for Far Cry 6, but I am a little curious what they're going to do if they add the healing animations back.
