Respawning doesn't make sense.
I think one of the main reasons people complain about difficulty is that in most open world situations respawning is a VERY painful process. You almost always have to respawn back at a safehouse and walk all the way back to what you were doing...
When enemies can kill you within about one second and it takes more than one mag to drop purple npcs, its a little bit unfair you know, but I dont mind a challenge thats fine.
When enemies kill you in one second, then you have to back out of some weird enemy info screen because you pressed A instead of X.... then you wait 30secs to 1min for loading cirle... then you spend another 2-3mins walking back to what you were doing, assuming you dont get interrupted by someone on the street to just die again. Its a very tedious process if your gear isnt good and when respawning is this painful then players have no motivation to improve skill and try new things. Why try anything new if you're going to be punished with so much loss of playtime when it doesnt work?
Personally, I wish devs would spend more time looking at making the game more playable solo instead of nerfing weapon mods and npcs. Also just my two cents but tanky bulletsponge enemies dont make difficult combat better. More low hp enemies using advanced tactics do make it better. One or two belletsponges like the chainsaw or minigun npcs make sense... but an entire group of 12 enemies that take 2 or more 5.56 extended mags to kill is just ridiculous, and worse than the first game since we at least had decent gear set talents to deal with higher threat. Right now it seems solo players are almost entirely out of options.
Also being able to respawn on teammates in combat should be a thing as well. I cant respawn solo, cant respawn if the team is in combat...but I can fast travel to my team apparently? So If I can spawn on the street that way.. why does it matter if my friend isn't there? or if he's in combat? If that is to take away some "advantage" you consider unfair, then please reconsider.
TLDR: the spawning system is VERY CLUNKY. To the point where I think other systems in the game are being labeled as problems when people are really just annoyed with how long it takes to get back in the action. Walking back to where I died is one thing but 2-5min delay due to respawn is kind of ridiculous to me. Its easy to say "the bots are too hard" or whatever but honestly if half of these people are anything like me then how hard the bots are wouldnt really matter if we could just get back in the action faster... its when you combine low time to kill with high respawn delay that issues get created IMO.
