HD Texture pack using up memory and crashing
When using the "HD textures" on 1440p with graphics mostly on Medium (using msi afterburner overlay), i can see that the GPU memory is slowly and constantly climbing and crashing when reaching my limit of 7.8GB.
When fast traveling to another location, the memory rises very fast.
Initially when starting the game up, the memory is ~4.5GB.
I tried tinkering with the nvidia settings, shader cache etc. but to no awail.
- Shouldn't there be a feature to clear out old unused GPU memory - for example when fast traveling to a new location, the old location should be wiped and freeing up some memory instead of hogging up unnecessary resources.

What is the required amount of Video RAM?
Ubisoft: What is the required amount of Video RAM that is needed in order to properly and smoothly run the HD Texture Pack?
I have 4 GB of Video RAM and playing the game using the HD Texture Pack causes severe micro-stuttering in the game. To the point where it is unplayable.
I don't think it is a problem with the HD Texture Pack I know it is my computer because not only is it a laptop but it's also using old hardware as well. But unfortunately I don't have the money to buy a new computer. But I am curious as to the recommended Video RAM requirement for the HD Texture Pack.
* Nvidia Geforce 960m - 4 GB of VRAM
* Intel i7 6700HQ 2.6 GHZ 4 core proocessor
* 8 GB of RAM
* Windows 10
