Hmmm...
Depends on the nuke.
Radioactive isotopes eventually decay, or disintegrate, to harmless materials. Some isotopes decay in hours or even minutes, but others decay very slowly. Strontium-90 and cesium-137 have half-lives of about 30 years (half theradioactivity will decay in 30 years). Plutonium-239 has a half-life of 24,000 years
Well, Superbloom... The first years after the collapse is dead and dry(like after a typical nuclear fallout). Then a period of very harsh winds occured which kind of shaped af new world by blowing sands, vegetation, rocks and basically everything around. and then finally this is followed by a long period of heavy rain and that created this "superbloom" where far cry new dawn takes place. This is the story of it so far.
Honestly, if 'reality' is what you want from your games then maybe the Far Cry franchise isn't for you.
No one knows exactly how it will be in reality. Scientists say 25-30 years. The most terrible will be first 5 years after collapse. But if Yellowstone volcano is nuked all Nothern America continent may sink under the ocean. The consequences will be unpredictable. The geography of the earth will be changed. It may not be even postapocalypse time....like in movies, books and games!
As for superbloom.......This is photo of abandoned amusement park. It is real. And it looks like postapocalypse scene! Now imagine what can be in real postapocalypse superbloom! https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-w...f9-750-498.jpg
It used to be man. Where were you in 2009?
Far Cry was ALL about reality.
Now its fun and thats great I have a lot of fun playing Far Cry. Only I will never associate fun with Far Cry, not the real Far Cry. You watch a movie do you have fun? Is Far Cry supposed to be a comedy?
Far Cry used to be gripping, like a thriller, atmospheric. Right now? Sorry to say. Its a circus act. Its Rambo 9 and not First Blood.
Reminds me of blood dragon.
Far Cry 2 was FUN though. Wasn't particularly all that realistic either. 3 onwards are decidedly less realistic, but it's not like FC2 was a sim-like game in any way. I think it depends on how you define 'fun'. I think as long as you're playing a game and enjoying the time you're spending doing so, you're having fun. I don't think it's a fair comparison to ask if a person has 'fun' during a movie. Movies are a passive experience, videogames are interactive, and with the exception of a tiny fraction, I think most people agree videogames are supposed to be fun to play. They call it interactive entertainment for a reason....
