Returning Player
Heyup all. Have been away from game and gaming for nearly a year so wondering if it is worth returning to or wait until TD2. Primarily PvE and had pretty decent build a year ago but guess all probably changed.
Worth returning to or just wait.
Cheers.

I would probably avoid the game by any means necessary. I say that cause right now the game is pretty broken for pvp and after a short while all pve will get a bit stale.

TD can still be fun. Urn is right that PVP has its issues - meta-sets, Chronus users, lags, exploits etc -, but with a decent team, you can still have a good and entertaining gaming session in DZ. PVE content is a bit boring for those who played the game all the time, but if your have been away for a year, there is new PVE content for sure. Do you know West Side Piers and Restance already? PVP is probably hard with your old gear set, but in PVE, you surely have a chance. Above that, there are many old veterans who will gladly help you with the new legendary missions etc. I would try it if I were you.

Sorry, have a patch on my finger. I meant Resistance.

Cheers for replies guys. Think i will jump back in for a bit and check out new PvE content. I avoid PvP at all costs as too toxic in any game but did have fun in DZ in early days. At least it will get me back into game mechanics and good to run with a group when i find one and so be ready for TD2.

PvE is going to be a lot of fun for you if you haven't played for a while. There's a lot of content now and the time-to-kill has been dialed down a lot (except for Legendary missions) from the early days.

I just started playing again and I am having a ton of fun. I quit playing after the first DLC clear sky incursion. Just got busy with life and didn't have as much time. This is like a brand new game for me.

December's 1.8 update added a bunch of new features, Resistance and West Side Piers specifically if you're looking for PVE content. The Shields campaign also offers rewards for revisiting some older content as well. Shoot if you have any other questions.
