PvP question
I don't know a lot about PvP so forgive me but is 6 piece tactician bfb just useless in PvP or am I not doing something right? Granted not every piece is fully optimized but I'm still over 10k electronics and like 408ksp or something all with 3.50 sticky damage performance mods and it seems utterly useless.

Yeah, unfortunately Sticky and Seeker builds of any kind are dead in PvP. Even with a maxed Sticky it's not possible to one shot players. The skill damage modifier was tweaked really bad back in 1.7 I think to"balance" the flame seeker meta and skill builds haven't been viable since. If you want to run Tac try a Vigorous/ Barrets + 5pc with first aid and Pulse for a heal/crit build. 6pc is just poorly designed and really isn't worth using.

Do NOT use it. I have a fully optimized 6-pc Tac set, and while it's the cat's a$$ in PvE I am utterly helpless against any rogues. Keep it for grinding missions, but if you want to PvP you need Stiker or Predator (if in a group) or Nomad (if you prefer to go it alone).

Scrub striker its nerfed. Try a banshee pred hybrid for pvp, ninja, 3 ban 2 pred, 6.5,6.5,3 works ok in pvp. Tact is not a pvp build unless you have a good high dps squad

I fully agree. Tact or Reclaimer are only viable in PVP when in a team with friends using mic. The tip with the Pred/Banshee hybrid is good, imo. I was quite successful with it, too.

Iam sure you know this but Skill power is soft capped at 450K.
If you are running 10K elec then with 30 stacks alone you should be just under the soft cap. ~430K-440K.
With the 6pcs if you actually get it to work correctly and go above 30 stacks that will quickly put you over the soft cap of 450K. Anything above that is Pretty pointless as your DMG barely increases. "We are taking about give or take 10K more DMG on a player going above the Soft cap" Just not worth it.
Running 5pcs tac with Inventive would get you to that soft cap or just above it. I prefer to run Vig chest instead with defib Since with inventive you are very likely to drop some HP before you put your stick out and if you have to heal before that just to get inventive to work you loose your 30 stacks because you used it on the heal. So it just depends on how you play...
In PVP the hardest hitting sticky bomb that ive ever seen is between 200K-320K HP Damage. "Most will be ~220K HP DMG"
Further more You have to hit the players Dead Center of the sticky bomb. If you are off by even 1 meter it will significantly reduce the damage. This is why most actually run sticky bomb Range mods instead of the 4% Sticky bomb damage mods. You can try out 2 and 2 as that gives you about a 1 meter circle for getting full damage vs without any range mods its more like 1-2 feet.
Use chain reaction talent. it makes all the difference.
Demolition Expert talent is Useless so i dont use it, unless you got alot of Red mobs around you that you can kill with a grenade first to get the buff, otherwise the cooldown on your sticky isnt fast enough to get use out of it.
If you find yourself going over 450K skill power start putting EAD in places where you can.... Its not going to add a whole lot of damage in pvp but every little helps.
You really got to put everything into it and even if all your cards line up and you have everything proc'ed its still not that strong.
its a fun build to play and mess around with and get some laughs out of..... But thats about it. it works great though in PVE....

Thanks for the help like I mentioned I don't PvP a lot plus I stopped playing shortly after release. What I remembered was because of a either div tech or phoenix credit glitch some had way hard hitting gear at the beginning of the game so people put together tech builds and just bombed them...thought that would work still against the current situations ie striker (pre rip) and now pred. Oh well memories

the tanktition used to rule the dz,but was nerfed to death.

Sad just sad. I will keep my pve tac build and can the one I used for PvP. I also tried putting together a D3 set for PvP but when I went into skirmish my shield health dropped from 2mil to barely 1mil...I guess that's the "fairness" thing or whatever
