A head shot is a critical hit, right?
So if you have a scope with 18% head shot damage and 4% critical hit damage. Does that translate into 22% head shot damage?

No, headshot damage and crit damage are separate stats.
You can get a crit headshot, though, which is crit damage stacked on top of headshot damage. I don't know the true mathematical equation of this formula, unfortunately. So I can't help ya' on that regard. :o
Your headshot damage is base damage, (which is displayed as DMG on the highlighted weapon) + headshot damage.
A crit hit is base damage + crit hit damage.
A Crit hit headshot is base damage + headshot damage plus + crit hit damage.
While holding the weapon of choice go to start, inventory, charactor and then look at weapon stats, this will have your crit hit and headshot damage stats in and you can check to see how weapon mods effect your stats.
Very useful info. Thanks
Also go into the firing range and shoot at the target. You will see damage values. Red is headshot, white is body damage, orange is critical damage (you canget crit damage on any part of the body you shoot). When the enemy has armour you will also see blue for armour damage.
I wasn't sure if it was multiplicative or additive, but I think your equation is slightly off.
For example: If I had 125% crit damage, that would mean this: 125% of my accumulative base weapon damage is added to my overall damage, that will be the resulting crit hit damage. Crit damage isn't a raw damage stat itself, because it is a percentage of something, which is your accumulate base weapon damage. I say that because accumulative is a variable, since it's always changing - booster shot, gear bonuses, etc.
So if X = accumulative base weapon damage, then a crit headshot would be (125% of X + X) • 1.3 (or whatever the headshot multiplier is now)
..Right? Idk, math is hard.
The last I remember, pre 1.8, the (pvp) headshot multiplier was 0.8 (1.3 would be 130%) and the crit calculation on a headshot ignored the multiplier altogether.
And yeah base damage doesn't account for things such as responsive or out of cover damage (as they are conditional boosts),
dte and ead (pve) or the various pvp modifiers.
I gave up on trying to figure out all the multipliers as they seem to change them on a whim and never actually tell us what they currently are.
I have 241% headshut ?that the result to mussle etc...+gun.
