Why do players feel they need to be compensated?
Survival was down yesterday and I admit I was disappointed, but I played other things. Joined a group in resistance, the other 3 was ranting about Survival not working and all they did was dis on Ubisoft for dropping the ball, yet again. The conversation got interesting when 2 out of the 3, stated they this was why they would never buy the DLCs for TD and in their opinion Ubisoft should owe them some form of compensation for their loss. The other asked for what loss. They never owned the DLC and was getting it free, while others paid for it and actually lost the ability to play it, while being fixed for those who refused to buy it. At this point, the debate got heated, words were said and not nice words by the way.
Then I get on the forums this morning and see players feeling that Ubi/Massive should compensate them for their loss. Now I admit I am triggered by the fact that part of the game I paid for, well I can't play because Ubisoft made choices that made it not work as intended. Yet Ubisoft has never rewarded me for their mistakes, so I don't expect compensation now.
So why do players feel Ubi owes them anything for this debacle, especially seeing how many are getting it for free? They have lost nothing. I do understand a player who has paid for it might be angered, but once again Ubi hasn't made it a habit of paying for their mistakes.
