There are places like Adelaide's Drubman's Marina and Hope County Jail in Faith's region, Falls End in John's region, where you will find little green squares with pictures of a Boat, Helicopter and or a Car just to name a couple - these are where one goes to find the yellow box on a post or side of a building that you interact with to get these items.
Note: these are just a couple examples of the many and they are all over all 3 regions of Hope County - you only need to use the map to locate them after you have "discovered" them.
The only thing I find there is how to "Customize" your Plane, Helo, or Truck.
Excuse me for laughing here - I added a comment to your Melee thread about folks I used to train........ Ya just caused me to LMAO with your comments above......
I'll go step by step here for ya: NOTE - I'm playing on the PS4 console
1 - Walk up to the yellow box (car.heli or boat)
2 - PRESS whatever "SHOP" button the game tells ya to press - (for me it's the Triangle and I have to "hold" it down NOT tap the button)
3 - A screen will pop-up, showing Ammo, "Garage, Boat or Helio" in the "middle" depending on what type of yellow box you are at and then a 3rd area of 3 slots - Items, Sell Loot & Silver Bars
4 - The "middle" will always be highlighted - SELECT it - (for me that is the "X" button)
5 - You may now - using the tab for Left or Right (L2 or R2 for me) and the UP or DOWN tab (for me that's L3 lever) scroll until you have made your SELECTION, by highlighting it
6 - Press the lower right "DRIVE" choice (Triangle for me again)
7 - A screen will pop-up that asks if you want to SPAWN one of what ya selected
8 - PRESS "YES" which is highlighted and poof ya got your car. truck, atv, boat, jet-ski, heli or plane setting right there for you to use....
NOTE - DO NOT STAND IN THE SPAWN AREA AS THIS MAY CAUSE WHATEVER YOU ARE SPAWNING "NOT" TO SPAWN.
As a note to add to Wilson's post, you don't own a vehicle just by using it, you have to unlock it in the store either by event or purchase. There are also two ways an event can unlock a vehicle, first is ingame event such as completing a quest, and the second is a community event(such as community challenge). There are also two ways to purchase items for the game in most cases, first is using ingame money earned by looting or completing quests, and the second is using Silver bars. Ingame money purchases are only available for the current gameplay and if you restart a new game, you lose all things purchased. Silver purchases are different, in that it links the item to your account and you can then use said item on ANY play you are on, thus when you restart a new game, all items purchased with silver are available, and to add to this any items unlocked by community events also are available.
So basically once you have unlocked a vehicle in the store by whatever method you wish, you then follow Wilson's steps. Also Silver can be found ingame in some safes and also won in community events, so you don't HAVE to purchase it to collect it.
I'll give that a shot Mr. Wilson. Folks that you used to train...Hmmmm...I'm interested. We might have been in the same line of work if it involved the DoD.
And yes Sport, I understand that I need to unlock it first. I just got frustrated at one of those spots and wasted 7200 credits for a damn "Paint" job.
Redacted.
Damn if that didn't work like a charm. Thanks again, Mr. Wilson. By the by. If you see Dennis running around tell him I said hi. lol
My only association with the DoD was being drawn 18th in the last DRAFT, that and I was made a honorary member of the 39th Chapter of the Special Forces (Houston, Tx) for my proficiency with a M60 (a real one btw, not a video game version). My scoot-mechanic was a Special Forces LT., (call-sign "Casper") that ran sneaky-petes for the CIA from S. Vietnam, into countries we were never in "officially" and I did RSO, (Range Safety Officer) work for them once a year. They had killer toys and they made sure I got to try 'em all out. I was very honor'd when one weekend they had a special ceremony and gave me a SF hat, which I rarely ever wear, but still own.
I have thought of Casper recently when playing the Hours of Darkness DLC as the Agent Orange, (shown in one area of the DLC map) he was exposed to over in the Nam claimed him many year ago while we were building a "streamliner" scoot for the Bonneville Salt-Flats 2 wheel'd land speed record, I was slated to drive. RIP Casper, an American SF Hero, miss ya my friend.
(Professionally, I trained folks from America, China, Mexico and S. America for an Engineering company with offices Internationally, but never really considered myself anything other than a Surveyor, like my dad)
and THANK YOU Yankee_LT for your service to our country (recognized your MikeForce insignia thought ya might appreciate short story of my friend)
So, you were with the Mike Force Guys. Yep, pure CIA ops. Can't remember my brother's draft number but what I do remember it was very low like yours. So, knowing this he joined instead of being drafted. (I think you served less time if you joined) He wasn’t there too long at all. Night patrol in the Tay Ninh Provence and stepped on a land mine. Game over. Myself I used to train Marines how to dive and spent time on "Operation Cyclone".
By the way, WELCOME HOME!!!!
PS. Strange though. I don't think I ever came home.
